Mega Tone mouthpieces employ more than double the mass of ordinary models to produce the darker sound cherished by many jazz and symphonic players. A slightly larger throat affords less resistance and greater flexibility resulting in warmer, more powerful sound.

THe Back megatone trumpet mouthpieces are great. I have played on one for ten years. It is the best mouthpiec I have ever used and the only one I have in my case. Buy the gold plated if you can. It makes the tone Much darker.
