Very nicely done... Bravo!,

This review is from: Bach: Violin Sonatas & Partitas (Audio CD)
For someone learning to play the violin, as I am, it's always remarkable to hear how differently a piece of music can be played... and Ms. Matthews' performance of what is arguably the most definitive work for unaccompanied violin is truly unique. Played in the 'baroque' style (or, at least, what we perceive that to be), you won't find any unnecessary arpeggios or unintended vibrato... just Bach's genius in its unadorned beauty.
