BACHELOR TERRITORY

Daddy in training!

When Harrison Rothwell is left to look after his two tiny nephews he decides to demonstrate that his rules of business management can be applied to any situation.

Trouble is, the boys are messy, disorganized and won't stick to their diaper roster! In short, Harrison soon realizes that bachelors and babies don't mix! Which is where Carrie Brent comes in. His cute next-door neighbor may be totally disorganized but, when it comes to rug rats, she's a natural! Worse, Harrison can feel himself falling for Carrie's haphazard charms. And that will never do—because there's nothing remotely disorganized about falling in love!

Heather MacAllister is the author of more than ten Harlequin Romance® novels written as Heather Allison.

There are two sides to every story…and now it's his turn!

More About the Author

Heather MacAllister lives in Texas and is married to her high-school sweetheart. Following the instructions in How to Get a Teen-Age Boy, and What to Do with Him When You Get Him by Ellen Peck, one of her all-time favorite books, she expressed an interest in his hobby -- ham radio. He challenged her -- learn Morse code and get her license, and he'd take her to the senior prom. She did, and currently sports her call sign, WB5RMA, on her car license plate.

Heather became addicted to romance novels in college, yet still managed to graduate and become a music teacher. And then her sons were born. Within seven months, nine baby-sitters quit, so she took pity on the childcare industry, quit teaching, and began avoiding housework by writing during her sons' nap time.

Heather has published over 45 books with Harlequin. Her award-winning romantic comedies have been translated into 25 languages and published in dozens of countries.

Before she was published, Heather won the Romance Writer's of America Golden Heart Award. Her published novels have been nominated for the RWA RITA award three times, and Harlequin.com readers voted LONE STAR SANTA favorite Laugh-Out-Loud book of 2006. In addition to awards for best Harlequin Romance and best Harlequin Temptation, Romantic Times Book Reviews has twice nominated Heather for a Career Achievement Award in Series Love and Laughter.

When she's not writing, Heather spends her time collecting vintage jewelry, watching fireworks displays, and killing plants.

The Bachelor and the Babies by Heather MacAllister

Harlequin Romance # 3513 - July 1998

Bachelor Territory themed series

Harrison's book Rules of Time Management is the perfect tool for his company, Rothwell Time Management Consultants. He's enjoyed great success with his seminars and workshops to large and small corporations. At his publishers' urging he agrees it's time to branch out to the domestic front where he's eager to put his rules to the test. What better way to confirm his techniques will work anywhere than to take charge of his two nephews for a week. He quickly learns that Nathan and Mathew have an unpredictable way of upturning any schedule. Harrison's neighbour Carrie Brent comes to his rescue. Harrison's astounded at how great she is in managing the children, esp. when her own personal life is in total chaos.

Harrison is one of those inflexible rules persons. He likes everything in it's place and his time scheduled for efficiency. Carrie is a breath of fresh air. She represents that cliché opposites attract. Harrison is adorable as a struggling parent. Carrie has been a bit of a drifter, not being able to determine what she wants for her career. Helping Harrison with his new project, gives her insights on the chaos of her life. Together they make a great team. This was a fun, light, witty read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute and adorable, April 11, 2001
A cute story that follows the life of a bachelor named Harrison Rothwell taking care of his two nephews for the sake of his brother. Harrison, a man of principle, always do his work according to rules and schedule but babies and toddlers did not just follow his organised schedule. Both his nephews wrecked his life soon they entered his apartment. Enters Carrie, an odd tenant in the exclusive apartment building who wore black lipsticks, tight leather short skirt and worked at nights as music reviewer and was greatly disliked by the apartment's board. Carrie was heaven sent, according to Harrison, as to save his life from the destruction done by his nephews. Carrie take care of his nephews when he went to work in the morning. The last thing that Harrison expected was to fall hard on Carrie. After all, Carrie was an odd person and he should not have a torch for her! This story did teach me a lot about babies stuff. Harrison's nephews were simply adorable. They gave Harrison an official name as 'Hawee' and Carrie as 'Cawee'. A delightful and hilarious read. Definitely a gem! Such cute story..
