Book Description

April 1, 2003

When corporate dynamo Rick Masters returned to Bedford, he had to see if old flame Joanna Prescott was still in town. No sooner did he reach her street than he saw Joanna's house going up in smoke! Rick rescued the pregnant beauty from near death, then helped bring her baby into the world.

Although she'd never stopped loving Rick, Joanna focused on finding a new home for herself and her baby girl. She couldn't resist the generous offer to live with Rick--as dangerous as it was to her heart...and her hormones. Soon, Joanna and Rick were again setting each other on fire in the bedroom. But had he truly forgiven her past mistake, and did he long, like her, for a shared future?

A man comes home endeared with the past, and is suddenly tossed into saving his ex-lover and her baby from an awful fire. When the emergency is over, he invites her to move in with him--he a millionaire with means and a passion she uneasilly shares. For now, she has herself and her baby to consider. And she holds suspicions about his past, her past with him---and what she should do about the future.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story, but it could have been better, March 1, 2009
This review is from: A Bachelor and a Baby (The Mom Squad) (Silhouette Desire #1503) (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoyed the story, but I would have liked it more if the author hadn't head hopped so much. One paragraph was the hero's point of view, the next paragraph was the heroine's and then back to the hero. I wanted to scream "Pick a POV and stick with it for more than a few sentences!" It wasn't even just the hero and heroine. She did the head hopping with Joanna's buddies in one scene. Took me right out of the story. Sometimes I lost track of whose POV it was supposed to be. It made it hard to read sometimes.
It did have an interesting plot and interesting characters. If you don't mind the head hopping every other paragraph you will really enjoy this book.
