Classic Bachelor Looks
This book is almost a history of "bachelor of pad" styles - from heavy embroidered furnishing of the late 19th century to mid-century to miminalist. It definitely is not the basement style american man-cave, lodge or field and stream look. It feels like you are walking in someone's study or private room.

If you want a chick designing your pad
Technically executed very well, but as a bachelor, this is definitely not the book I was looking for. My ideas for bachelor pads include smoking cigars, watching sports, cool bars, maybe a room or two dedicated to fishing or hunting. The only mildly interesting idea in this book was the boxing based room. If you are contemplative, book reading, sensitive wine sipping...

The only mildly interesting idea in this book was the boxing based room. If you are contemplative, book reading, sensitive wine sipping master of the classics, this is your cup of tea - but when going for the bachelor pad shouldn't be one going for something that your married buddies wish they had?
