3.0 out of 5 stars sort of disappointing . . .
Yes, this is a cute story. But it never actually seems to fulfill its potential for either humor or tenderness. There just seemed to be so many possibilities for laughs and romance with all those characters crammed into such a small space, and the author took advantage of so few of them! Maybe this impression is partly because we see so much of Mark and Claire's thoughts...

This review is from: The Bachelor's Dare (Silhouette Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
The RV door has closed and it's heating up between Claire and Mark. The winner of this small town "Survivor" type contest walks away with an expensive RV. When Claire and Mark get onto the RV, the last thing they think they'll find is love. The childhood friends are both are looking for a way to get out of Mercy, Indiana and a way out of their troubles once and for all. The back and forth banter between the two as they battle for the RV and realize that what they feel for each other is definitely something more than friendship is simply hot! If you are looking for romance with a hint of humor and lots of innuendo, try Bachelor's Dare, you'll be glad you did!

5.0 out of 5 stars You have to read this--romantic comedy at its best!, September 12, 2004
This review is from: The Bachelor's Dare (Silhouette Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I adored this book. Think Survivor--in a RV! Claire and Mark are both stubborn, opinionated, and determined to last out each other (and all the rest of the contestants) to win the grand prize--the RV that both need for vital reasons that they refuse to share. But do they need to win more than they need each other? The sexual tension between the two characters fairly crackles on the page. The supporting cast, including the football fanatic and the self-styled chaperone, Millie the knittin' grandma, had me in stitches.
Gotta have it. Trust me. :)

This is a great love story, filled with laughter, fun, and characters so real that you want to know what happens next, after the story ends. And who knew a haircut scene could be so sexy? Read it!

I read The Virgin's Proposal and loved it and had to read this one, too. The Bachelor's Dare is wonderful! Warm, funny, and of course romantic! This author reads like my favorite romantic comedy movies. This one is a MUST READ!

Maybe this impression is partly because we see so much of Mark and Claire's thoughts that the story actually seems rather short on ACTION!
