If you love Kenton, you will love this set, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the original Kenton Balboa band. Most of the famous Kenton Alumni are represented with great new(1991) "takes" on some interesting Kentonian repertoire. Especially worthwhile are the offerings by Bob Florence, Gabe Baltazar, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Childers and the Candoli Bros. Set also includes a panel discussion disc with some priceless and humorous anecdotes by Pete Rugolo, Anita O'Day, Laurindo Almeida and others. Worth the price. Get this one! Recorded live, but great realistic sound.
