I started out just using the dehydrator for making beef jerkey but am using it for all my backpacking food needs. I love to dry fruits and make leathers! I can dry salsa at home and rehydrate it on the trail for a wonderful treat. Dried soups and spaghetti sauce also work out well.

I got this dehydrator as a Christmas present this year. We immediantly tried it and it works great. I am going to be using it not only to dehydrate food but also for decorating. Great product and I love the name of the company, just what we should all be doing, getting Back to Basics!
