5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to make your own healthy popsicles!
I make a lot of popsicles for my kids and their friends every summer. They are very easy to make and can be super healthy, depending on how you make them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor design
These are a nice shape and size, and the handles catch drips. But they have a major design flaw--the part of the stick that is frozen into the pop is too small, narrow, and smooth, so when you try to pull your pops out, the handle comes out and the pop stays in. I had to semi-melt the pops under hot water and use a flat spatula to pry the pops out of the base. Not...

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to make your own healthy popsicles!, June 10, 2007
This review is from: Back to Basics Lickity Sip ICE POP MOLDS - Popsicle Maker
I make a lot of popsicles for my kids and their friends every summer. They are very easy to make and can be super healthy, depending on how you make them.

To make popsicles, you must carefully pour 100% fruit juice into the mold and then freeze it. My kids like OJ or pineapple juice best. (Look for juice with pulp because it freezes into pops that are easier to bite into.) You can add slices of banana, chunks of pineapple, rasberries, or other small bits of fruit, too. Or, make a smoothie and freeze that. (I've got a kid-approved recipe in my book, Feeding the Kids: The Flexible, No-Battles, Healthy Eating System for the Whole Family.)

These particular molds are great because they catch (most) drips and have a nice shape. These molds can be washed in the dishwasher on the top rack. But be sure the sticks don't fall into the garbage disposal if your kids drop their sticks in the sink after eating their pop...that destroys them rather quickly!

I do have a set of the ultra cheap molds from the grocery store. They work just as well as these--but they came coated in a strange oil and needed to be washed in very hot water and the dishwasher before I was willing to use them! I do not like the rounded popsicle molds because the flat shape of these makes them easier to bite into. In short, these particular molds are my favorites.

This product is easy to use and works great. Popsicles were easy to remove from mold after running a little water over the mold. I'll be looking foward to making popsicles all year long!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, September 27, 2007
This review is from: Back to Basics Lickity Sip ICE POP MOLDS - Popsicle Maker
I highly recommend this product. It is easy to use. The popsickles come out easily after briefly running them under luke warm water. The design to catch the drips will benefit older children, but for young toddlers, of course they are going to turn the things upside down and get themselves sticky - - - - but what else do you expect from toddlers. They don't mind being sticky.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are GREAT! Haters please read on and try again., August 10, 2009

I absolutely love these. I bought them to make juice bars for my grandchildren, but even when they're away, I make them for my husband and myself and came to Amazon looking for two more sets. I have had no problems at all getting the molds to release - BUT, I use an old trick my grandmother used. Once the pops are frozen, set them in a dish of COOL water, not hot, just for a minute or so to loosen the pops - this does not take long at all. I use an 8 qt. disposable plastic type, deep rectangle dish which is just right for getting the cool water all around the pops. I haven't lost a stick yet, even when using plain wooden popsicle sticks as I do sometimes when trying to make a few ahead. Try it, then tell me you still hate them. This is an old time product, maybe the manufacturer should include instructions for those who aren't aware of the old-time secret of getting frozen pops (and jello-molds)to release! We've been using frozen concentrate mixed with half the suggested water and found that makes a nice flavorful juice bar. Enjoy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful Waste of Money!, August 7, 2009
This review is from: Back to Basics Lickity Sip ICE POP MOLDS - Popsicle Maker
These were horrible! I needed more molds bought these and they were impossible to use! Had to use a butter knife to remove and the "stick" part still came out of the pop! Sometimes it is not worth saving a penny or two. I do not recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Summer Time., July 19, 2009

I grew up with these. Me and my sisters would take Any juice that was in the fidge and pour it into these and eat up the popsicles a couple hours later. It was so much fun too because as it melts you and just slurp up the juice without it getting all over your fingers. Now that I'm on my own I realized there was something missing for my kitchen. Not for long. :) :p

1.0 out of 5 stars $3.00 at Target and ice pops just won't come out, July 2, 2009
This review is from: Back to Basics Lickity Sip ICE POP MOLDS - Popsicle Maker
I almost ordered several of these last night, just forgot to checkout. And today I ran into these exact molds at the Target store, their price is $3.49. They are nice basic molds, but definitely not worth $7
Update:
And it is nearly impossible to remove the ice pops from these molds. I would change rating to 1 star.
