5.0 out of 5 stars Nice live compliation
First off, the double disc I ordered and received from Amazon was an Import, hence the $20 price tag. For this band, I will gladly pay that price.

This release basically contains all of the best from the first 4 Mr. Big releases. Highlights that aren't as mainstream include "Baba O'Riley" "Promise Her the Moon" and "Next Time Around". Its truly a shame the...

3.0 out of 5 stars It's alright,Has it's moments
I always thought this band could put out one killer hard rock record or two in there time. But they for some reason mostly go soft or go a little goofy instead. If they thought more like Van Halen meets grand funk railroad in the studio. Then Bryan Adams meets Winger. They would have a ton more respect from the purist. The talent in this band is second to none but they seem...

Its truly a shame the original four didn't stay together as they are sorely missed by many of us. While I doubt we will see a US tour anytime soon, its very good of them to recognize their loyal Japanese fans with this double live disc, and the target song "I Love You Japan". Its true Mr. Big was far more popular overseas than in the US, but Eric, Paul, Billy and Pat prove that they can still shred with the best of them.

If you are a long-time fan or just checking out a different band for a change, this live compliation is a must.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, October 29, 2009

Maybe my favorite Mr. Big live album. Great song list and a great performances. Eric Martin sounds exceptional along with the rest of the band. I really love the new song "next time around" and the old ones, "promise her the moon." There is a second disc where they play an encore and introduce the band. Really like that they are back.
If you are a Mr. Big fan I think you should purchase this album. They sound really great.

Let me start off by letting you all know that this cd brings back fond memories of when mtv (they don't deserve to have the caps used)used to show heavy rock/metal videos and to the cd itself, all i have to say is buy it,the Sheenan/Gilbert solo alone is worth it,the music is crisp and Gilberts solo's throughout the cd make you want to buy the dvd just to see this virtuoso at work,Sheenan also shows why he's a god among children on bass.Buy it,you will not be dissapointed!

I really like this DVD . It's a lot of fun and you can tell the members' musicianship has grown in the last 15 years. But I have to admit to not being familiar with anything but the first two Mr. Big CDs the first few times I watched this concert, so not knowing the songs made me want to stop watching til I got familiar with the new material.

The "Big" highlight for me is the Paul Gilbert / Billy Sheehan duet. It's just a fun, melodic whirl that made me laugh out loud with sheer joy.

(Though overall, I have to say the "Live in San Francisco" DVD from the "Lean Into It" tour is better and has more energy.)
