As good as the liner notes are, it's still not clear which (mostly 1970s) tracks are alternate takes or completely new, but the quality herein is so remarkable, that deep and casual fans will be electrified. Cut 2, "Humpty Dumpty" is new to this fan, a great Rock and Soul mix, with a typically intense, sensational vocal by Tina.
"I Can't Believe What You Say" I first heard by a New Jersey group, and whenever Cut 7 was cut, I'm thrilled to hear it by the originators.
I collected "Shame, Shame, Shame" on a vinyl I & T, and I hope someday to compare the mediums. A "lost" Top 40 hit for the group, without a doubt, whether as an alternate, an outtake, or a first issue master. Some signature Disco-Soul. JB would be proud.
As a "bonus" we have a live in Florida, "All I Could Do Was Cry" and needless to say, Tina's emotion is almost unbelievable.
It was great that she came back in 1984, more accurately, reestablished her musical past and *established* a new hip, sophisticated Pop-Rock-Soul sound, but something *was* lost in the transition to Super Diva. It wasn't Soul.

I got to hear some of these tracks over at a Friends house&was Bopping my Head.Classic Soul Music from TIna&Ike.I want to take you Higher.is Slamming.Tina is a All Around Force to this Day.this is a Must.also some of these songs have been put out before but it also contains some other material.

This collection is one of the best released over the last years. The hits are there, but there are also some special songs which, according to my knowledge, were never released on Cd before. If you like Tina, if you like Ike, if you like them both this is the CD to own ! Note : Great packaging of the CD also.
