I just got this CD yesterday, and have listened to it 4 times already - I am just astounded by the magic Evenson and Barabas created! I have been a new age fanatic since before it was called new age (from the early 80's), and have over 100 CD's of this type of music. 'Back to the Garden' is at the top of the heap, if not at the very top.The beauty of this CD lies in the fact that each song weaves you in and out of a trance, without digressing to 'relaxation' music that so much new age is turning into...mind you, it is relaxing, however the focus is on a musical atmosphere. All of the instruments are *balanced* so well, unlike other artists who make their main instrument the forefront. I have been a fan of Tom Barabas for some time now, and kick myself for not discovering this collaboration sooner. If you want a CD that paints a landscape and takes you out of the stresses of everyday, look no further than 'Back to the Garden'. I would give it 6 stars if I could have! |
