5.0 out of 5 stars A fine collection of short plays, September 15, 2005
This review is from: The Back Stage Book of New American Short Plays 2005: 20 Plays, 20 New Voices (Paperback)
Craig Lucas has done an excellent job finding 20 unique short plays. The pieces are mostly naturalistic, but there is a solid variety of distinctive voices - good for a read, good for acting class, good for production. Particular standouts were The Mulligan, by Scott Organ, Dissatisfaction #4, by Jeff Tabnick and Sad Song, by Anna Ziegler. These three short plays were both spare and profound, and continued to resonate with me, long after I was done reading. Also of note are China, by Scott Organ and Davy and Stu, by Anton Dudley.
