I must say, I was a little skeptical that I could grow food out of a cardboard box. It seemed like a fun idea, but would it really work?? I can tell you that, yes, it really does! It took a little longer than 10 days, but at around 2 weeks we had mushrooms. Very delicious mushrooms. Plus, it was fun for my daughter to watch them grow. Must faster than trying to grow apples on a tree, or blueberries. It's all about instant gratification when you are 13 :) I would recommend this product as a gift to anyone that likes mushrooms, likes to grow their own food, enjoys science experiments, the cook in the family, your mom, or for yourself. love it!
