As good as the first one.,
By cgsolano (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Back to Top Wld (Paperback)
This is the first time I read this book after reading the first one twice, and it is as good... Life in the North Pole is harsh... some scientists say it is the place with the worst living conditions on this planet we call Earth... but the real Men (you'll have to read the book to know what this means in order not think this is a sexist comment) found a home and a place to live in this isolated land. But the real admirable thing is not living here, but being able to find content in life's simple miracles and find happiness where anybody else would find none... Real Men desire no more than what one has. There were times I thought I was reading a book about life in a different planet. The Polar ice is alive and is respected by the Men... They don't live by the clock, they believe in always laughing and looking at the good side of things... Their cosmogony will strike you with awe and make you wonder...

I love this story of the eskimos. They are such happy people and it makes me stop and enjoy the small things in life. I buy this book whenever I see it and give it away so everyone can enjoy it.
