5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful blues-rock !, June 13, 2000

Former Grateful dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann played in this short-lived(?) band, basically a power-trio. I heard a couple of these tracks on a radio show and was hooked. Preserve the Blues and Ocean Laughter are especially catchy. The ballads are steamy. Not at all like the Grateful Dead, but an excellent CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Backbone has Spine!, August 23, 2010

I was interested obviously because a Dead member was involved, but besides that, this album is a unique piece. Bought it used & cheap, worth a listen. Not Deadish, but very good music!
