4.0 out of 5 stars One of my two favorite Clash tribute cds. October 26, 2005
Format:Audio CD
I've purchased 5 Clash tribute cds and this is a high quality one. Most of the songs are punchy, strong, enjoyable generally along the same musical lines of the Clash. I get the feeling the bands did these covers with a passion for the Clash. It shows. I rarely, if ever, like beat, hip hop type music. Yet there's two such covers on here and they're very well done with a strong beat right out of the original version that just rings true. A very enjoyable cover. Not 5 stars only because there's 1 or 2 songs that are less then fully satisfying with some slight wimp factor in them but I was definitely pleasantly suprised to hear so many high quality punk (not hardcore) covers here. Well worth it, particularly at under $6.

3.0 out of 5 stars Clash Tribute February 9, 2000
Format:Audio CD
Some interesting versions, the only real dissappointment was on "Should I Stay or Should I go" This song should have never been performed by a rapper.
