4.0 out of 5 stars A bit of a hassle, but my little one LOVES it
Unlike other reviewers, I had no problem putting the 'bar' on (it just slides right into the fabric tubes). Getting it to *stay* in was another story - my little one loves to kick at it (and I mean *loves,* those little feet just start going the moment we get in the car!) and would often kick the 'bar' loose. A couple of quick hand stiches solved that, and now baby is...

1.0 out of 5 stars Hated this
I quickly returned this when I found it frustrating to put the toy together. The little bar with the characters does not fit into the holes. I tried for at least a half hour to put it together and found it to be a waste of time. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone.

Getting it to *stay* in was another story - my little one loves to kick at it (and I mean *loves,* those little feet just start going the moment we get in the car!) and would often kick the 'bar' loose. A couple of quick hand stiches solved that, and now baby is amused for the entire car ride. It was also easy for us to attach in the car, as we have a center seat headrest (it simply has a velcro loop to go around the headrest bars) - without that though, it might be difficult to use. A definite winner for our little one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for attention getting, March 3, 2003

I've had this hooked up since my son's birth (now 10 weeks old). He first noticed it though at 5 weeks and now he just loves it.. It's fun for when you hit little bumps while driving because the toys that dangle bounce and jingle around keeping babies attention. He is such a good carseat rider now because he will just stare at his backseat entertainer and smile and talk to it. I'm glad we have it. The only thing is the mirror isn't good to view baby from the backseat in our Ford Explorer, his car seat is too high to see him, so we have the Baby in Sight Mirror hanging over it so we can see baby as well..

1.0 out of 5 stars Also couldn't get the bar into the holes, July 13, 2003

I received this as a gift and have never been able to use it in the car. Not once was I able to get the bar into the holes. Too bad, because this toy has promise. When I hold it in front of my daughter she smiles at the faces.

2.0 out of 5 stars it's just OK..., February 3, 2003

I was looking for something to hook to the seat for my baby. This is a great idea but could use vast improvement. The toy bar is too heavy to stay in the holes and hangs too low for the baby to see. Once I was able to finagle the toy bar (there is a strap with velcro that I assume is supposed to support the toy bar to keep it in place), it works OK. Eventually the toy bar fell off and it is buried in the depths of abandoned toys in my car. We replaced it with a mirror that has Elmo attached to it - much more fun for baby and me!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as easy as it looks, January 10, 2003

Got this as a gift but returned it soon after we found out how difficult it is to put the toy bar into the holes to attach it to the base of the toy.My husband, who is extremely handy, and I both became frustrated trying to put the bar in the so called holes. They were not exactly a perfect fit. Plus on the box it does not tell you that the toy only attaches to certain types of seats in the car. If anyone successfully put the bar on with ease, let us know. We returned it for something more user friendly. We would not recommend this to anyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sucks!!!!, April 24, 2005

I actually bought this toy for my baby. It doesn't work in my back seat because it needs to attach to a head rest, but you can also use one of the straps to stick to the seat but it dosen't hold it up. The mirror faces somewhere on the ceiling. now that my baby is a little older she can reach the toys with her feet but the purple bar falls off. I think it might be good to hang in her crib, but so not effective as a car toy.
