Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 3-6-This is a total fluff piece: a biography of an 11-year-old whose main claim to fame seems to be having a brother in the pop musical group, Backstreet Boys. Actually, Aaron Carter is a recording artist himself, but one gets the distinct impression that he would never have "made it" if it weren't for his brother's connections. Almost all of the material is attributed to interviews previously printed in magazines such as Tiger Beat and Top of the Pops. Answers in some cases do not ring true for a boy this age. When asked if he gets along with his twin sister, he replies: "Yes, but she's the complete opposite of myself. She's very calm...and as she was born two minutes before me, she always looks after me like a mother goose." One chapter gives a detailed astrological reading for Aaron, another provides a numerology reading, and a third tackles the question: "Are You the Perfect Girl for Aaron?" And if that weren't enough waste of ink and paper, there are 10 pages of Internet sites about Aaron and ways to contact him. Totally worthless.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun book.
This is a very light, straight-from-the-pages book. Meaning, it's not like his mother's biography. it doesn't give any insight or past memories or anything of the such. Read more
