To start, I purchased the Kindle edition of this issue. Without having looked at a print edition, I can say by comparing with other magazines that I read on the Kindle that this one is well suited for it. The table of contents is interactive (at least in this issue), the articles and pictures are laid out well, and the font types and sizes are uniform throughout.

The content is geared toward those who want to be more self-sufficient, or have an interest in homesteading. There are a variety of articles from these topics presented, in addition to overall topics of interest. This issue includes an article on guns aimed at women, how they should choose one, and how to safely operate it. There was also an article about Constitutional Rights... home building, tree branch grafting... throw in some recipes, reader Q&A, and you have a something for everyone!

I would recommend this issue, and the magazine in general, to anyone hoping to achieve a little more self-relience, or seeking the know-how to get there!

I'm buying because I'm looking for specific articles, but I found a lot to please in this issue. I am working on learning grafting, and the article in this issue is extremely concise, explaining what to do as if you were standing by a master grafter who was telling what to do. I also have never had good success with potatoes, getting the same number that I take out of the ground as I put into it. My father pulled out numerous potatoes, so I enjoyed reading "Ask Jackie"'s advice on growing potatoes. Great for a single mom, or the unhandy like myself, is the information on how to snake a toilet with 2 ways to dislodge a toy thrown down by a child. When you consider that you are getting 15 articles for the price of one magazine, this kindle magazine is a very useful bargain!

This one has great info and the story of building the house helps many of us to think of what it would take to build one ourselves. Awesome insight into the ideas, emotions and resolutions to their many problems in this issue as faced by the writers.. Great one again!

I just love this publication - even if I don't feel like it applies to me today - sure enough in a few months I am pulling out my older copies to learn something I didnt' think I needed to know at the time but I do now. Great resource to have in your library!

What can I say about this magazine but it is really a great publication. They are on-track with from my prospective on 99% of their articles (hey, no one is going to agree with everything) and are very pro-constitution. Nuff said..

I love the recipes for soups and the root grafting instructions are straight forward and make it seem like something I could actually do. There is also a lovely article about root cellars.
