This is the very best of the first two years of Backwoods Home Magazine. This magazine publishes 'how-to' on most everything a body would want to know how to do. Cooking, cleaning, diesel, tractors, baking, building, chickens, you name it, if folks in the country need to know how to, Backwoods Home is the place they turn. If city folks are now in the need to know, they should try this compendium of the best articles the mag published it's first two years. It's folksy, educational and down right useable. Yours will get dog eared. Don't believe me, try finding Backwoods Home Magazine website via your internet browser. They've got great indexes with many articles online already.

This is a great book filled with articles from the first two years of a great magazine. It has a lot of great info for those looking to live a simpler life. And for those looking to do it themselves.

I'm a subscriber to this magazine and have NEVER had a problem with them. They are great people who put out a great magazine. It's for anyone who dreams of more freedom and peace in their lives.

If you liked Mother Earth News in the 70's then this magazine is for you.

We now subscribe the the BWM and always will! I can't wait for every issue! My only complaint is they only do 6 issues a year instead of 12. Our subscription runs out in a month, and we will be renewing with the 'Whole Shebang'. 2 years of subscriptions with ALL of the Anthologies! Thanks for a great magazine and for compiling them into anthologies for us!

I paid for a full year subscription to this magazine (6 issues) and I have only received 2 and the next issue is supposed to complete my subscription. Didn't get the first issue so I called, they couldn't find subscription, then found it and sent one magazine. Then I didn't receive the next 2 so I called again and they argued with me; have a very rude staff, blamed it on the post office, but lo and behold 3 days later I get the next due issue (1.5 months early). They told me I would not receive the magazines that were missing. I wrote the editor and never received a reply. This is a family owned business and they stick together and do not take care of their customers, AT ALL. Very BAD company to do business with. You are much better off with Mother Earth News or something of that sort. Stay away from this companyl
