this is the worst backyard game i have ever played. it has ok graphics, and good players, but the game is very slow, and you can't even see the ball. when you happen to hit the ball, butterflys in the game take up the whole screen and none of the players even move to pick up the ball. i got a home run on a bunt which shows you how bad the game is. it always freezes and i have to quit to start a new game. i know this is not my computer becuase we just had it re-formatted, and many of my friends have said the same thing about their game. this game is terrible; do NOT buy it!

Freezes shortly into the game and won't do anything. Needs a patch bad. Atari has not answered my emails. Don't buy it.

My kids love backyard baseball 2005 which runs flawlessly, so bought this to bring it up to date. But its locking up, so I guess we will wait for a patch and to come out. Looked good for the few minutes it worked!

My two boys love playing Backyard Baseball on the computer.
They have all the past Backyard Baseball PC games and this one
has all their favorite current players in it.
I highly recommend Backyard Baseball 2009 Windows XP.

Humongous sports has outdone its self with this game. The new features are great, but maintains its purpose which is pros as little joes. I love how the theam has reached Boston with David Ortiz, Tom Brady, and Paul Pierce on the cover of backyard sports games in the past two years. The graphics are much better, there are more fields, new players, and over all a great game fo kids. It does have its down side though, the features are cool for kids but seem unrealistic. I highly reccomend this game for all kids who like sports, and for kids who know how to use a computer. That is all the requirement. EXCELLENT!!!!

My son has the older version of this game and really likes it but wanted an update. He is CONSTANTLY frustrated with this game, it locks up all the time. Horrible game! Do not buy it!!

my son has enjoyed hours of fun on this game, building his dream team, playing games, etc. highly recommend!

This version of the game is an improvement (and an update) of the one we had before, the 2005 version. It's more realistic, you can modify the players and it's more challenging. My son is 11 years old and familiar with the older version of the game. In fact, he learned about the game of baseball through that version since we live abroad and otherwise I'd have to explain the rules. Have you ever tried to do that?

I bought this game just for something fun to do. I used to have Backyard Baseball 2001, and thought this would be a much better game being 8 years newer. I was wrong. The graphics arent that good and the gameplay is poor. I would recommend 2001 to anyone interested.

I own the Backyard Baseball and Football 09 games ofr the PC, and I recommend not buying it. Why? Because it gets all kinds of glitches, gets stuck alot, and it is just not worth the money. I've tried it on 3 computers and I bought both games, and it just isn't worth the money. Buy the old games, they don't get all the glithces as these do. I love the Backyard games but I'm sorry to say it's a bust. A Very Thoughtful 2 stars.
