This product was a life saver for me. Literally. Without it, I may have been forever doomed to be miserable and alone.

I met the love of my life while jogging in the park a few months ago. I've heard of love at first sight, but never understood its true power.

Our eyes met as we ran past each other in opposite directions. I felt a bolt of electricity shoot through my body. When I stopped and turned around, I saw she had done the same. We walked back towards each other, and I could feel the heat and the chemistry between us. We started talking, and at that moment I knew this was the girl I was going to spend the rest of my life with.

We embarked upon a whirlwind romance. All was perfect between us, save one thing. She was a vegan, opposed to all killing of animals for meat. I am a fanatic for steaks, ribs and chicken. Or anything else that once walked and breathed that I can put onto the grill.

At first, we tiptoed around the issue, but soon it drove a wedge between us. We could no longer eat meals together. She was nauseated watching me eat a hamburger and I, of course, am not a rabbit.

That's when J&D's Bacon Flavored Lip Balm entered my life. And dare I say, saved it.

I started wearing this lip balm every day. With each kiss, my love tasted just a hint of the nirvana that is bacon. Soon, she attacked me as soon as I entered the room, just to nibble my J&D'd lips. One Sunday, after an early morning J&D session, I went to the kitchen and fried up a giant pan of bacon. The scent wafted through the house. In moments my dearest was in the kitchen, salivating, wondering what that glorious smell was. That was the day we truly became as one. And the rest, as they say, is history. Thank you J&D, for your genius. Our first child will be named in your honor!

I have a huge bacon problem; its consumed at every meal. Bacon for breakfast, BLT for lunch, bacon goes with everything for me. So when my doctor told me I had to cut out the bacon or else die from heart disease it was a tough decision.

I have children, so I felt obliged to at least make an effort to improve my diet and kick the bacon addiction. For weeks I was getting the cold sweats, insatiable cravings, I was keeping wadded up bacon in my pocket to sniff to try to ease my urges.... I seemed destined for failure.

Then a miracle happened... and I found this bacon flavored lip balm. It's been a huge relief for me and my family to have this tool to aid in my rehabilitation, similar to my use of nicotine gum when I quit smoking. Thanks are due to the creators of this fine product for saving my life.

I just received my 4 pack of J&D's Bacon Flavored Lip Balm and I gotta say .. it really packs a punch. Man, this stuff smells and tastes just like freshly cooked bacon. I applied a thick coat while sitting in traffic this morning, and before I knew it I found myself inadvertently nibbling on the deliciously enticing balm stick. (I guess that is why they give you 4 of them in a pack). It really satisfies, whether licked from the lips or letting a small bite melt slowly on the back of your tongue. I keep J&D's Bacon Flavored Lip Balm everywhere. At work in my desk drawer, in the glove box of the car, on the nightstand. Heck, I even keep a tube of J&D's in my golf bag. It's pure energy when you are walking 18 on a hot summer day. One note of caution ... if you take J&D's Bacon Flavored Lip Balm camping, then be sure to store it in an airtight plastic container. Recently, while on a 3 day trip to Yellowstone my wife went to sleep with a tube of J&D's Bacon Flavored Lip Balm in her pants pocket. Apparently grizzly bears love bacon, because I awoke to find that she had been eaten. I don't think the bear was after her, as most of her injuries were located in her hip region where the J&D's Bacon Flavored Lip Balm was kept in her pants pocket. But, I did find the completely empty tube laying on the bank of the creek. (I guess that is why they give you 4 of them in a pack)

Does anyone know if they make a J&D's Bacon Flavored Body Spray or Lotion? I just love the subtle fragrance of freshly cooked bacon.

Pros: They give you 4 in a pack, it smells and tastes JUST like freshly cooked bacon, energy booster, portable.

Cons: Bears like it too.

There is no bacon in this product. But it smells like there is. Some thick smokey bacon from the south.

I can't tell if I like it or not. It really smells like bacon and I want to eat it. Makes my lips feel a little greasy. I don't normally wear lip balm.

I bought this and put it on right away. My wife didn't like the smell (she's pregnant anyway), but I couldn't stop sniffing it.

It's really quite unbelievable how much like bacon is smells. I think I am going to try some of their other products, some I can actually eat.

The kids (ages 6 and 3) got a kick out of it. I would buy again to add to gifts, as a joke or just an interesting add-on.

This lip balm really does smell just like bacon, and good bacon at that.
It softens, it lasts a long time, and the consistency of the clear balm texture is really nice.
Being a girl I don't care about shine, but guys out there looking for a manly balm this will do you fine, it's a very low sheen, not shiny at all.
I'm left wishing only two things, one is for it to be sold individually, because really I'm not going to go through 4 tubes of this anytime soon. But, my guess, they expect people to purchase for the novelty and give it as gifts, which is what I'm going to do with at least two of them. And second is for it to have SPF so it isn't just a novelty but a more all day everyday bacon jones fixing balm.

I ordered this as a gift for my friend who is a HUGE bacon lover, with extra to spare for myself and anyone else I felt like gifting.

Upon arrival, I applied nearly immediately, and snuck up on my wife to give her a smooch. She figured out SUPER fast what was going on, and pulled away. This, from a woman who loves bacon.

Apparently love of bacon does not extend to lips for women. My friend's experience with his wife was pretty similar.

That said, the love of women is really not necessarily that important when your lips taste like bacon that you can enjoy on your own... However, the bacon taste on this tube of flavor is ehhh. The flavor that really comes through is smoke more than bacon...more like slightly overcooked bacon.

All in all, this is a fun experiment to try out, but I doubt you'll be using it as your daily lip balm. Better stick to its use a fun gift (or mid-day minor bacon escape).

I bought this thinking it was for dogs because its bacon flavor.

WARNING - This is NOT a pet product.

Ever since applying this product to my dog he has been licking his lips 24/7 and refuses to listen to any of my commands! And to make things even worse the cat has started chewing on the dog's face while he is sleeping. Please, for the love of PETA do not apply this product to animals!

I'm a creative gift-giver, so when I saw this product, I thought my bacon-loving/ chap-stick wearing wife would totally love it. Not so.

Now I have to redeem myself this Christmas. Any ideas?

I purchased based on reviews, as a diet-aide joke for some of my friends. Only one of them was brave enough to try it (I couldn't after taking one whiff). The brave soul could not wipe it off fast enough. Dogs might love the stuff - but humans, save your money!
