We're always thinking and dreaming here at ThinkGeek World Domination HQ. In fact, we have meetings to do just that (and eat, not that we need an excuse to eat). While nomming on some delicious BLTs slathered in Baconnaise, designerd Christian thought a terrifying thought. "With all this vegetarian buzz going around," he mused, "What will happen to bacon in the future? What if everyone goes... vegan?" (Insert the sound of three dozen monkeys simultaneously gasping... except for the vegetarian employees who were silently thoughtful.) This is our plan.

Our 1-year old seems to love everything plush, so my wife and I thought it would be fun to get him something a little outside of the ordinary bears and dogs. My First Bacon seemed to fit the bill nicely after watching the product video.
He's quite tall -- almost 2 feet with a slightly textured surface and non-googly plastic eyes. When you squeeze a spot on his back, he says "I'm Bacon!" and his mouth moves mechanically along with the sound.
It's a one-tricky pony, but a very nice one.

I bought this gift for a coworker who absolutely loves bacon. Rather than purchase the food, I figured this would get a laugh, last longer, and be the healthier alternative.
I was surprised that it came with batteries already installed. Once the battery pack (found in a pouch at the bottom) is turned on, pressing a button makes the character say "I'm bacon!" while moving it's mouth.

I saw this on a holiday gift idea segment that the Today Show did. My son-in-law has made bacon ice cream before. I thought this would make a good ha-ha gift for one of his twins. The other one is getting a beating heart since Dad is a nurse at a heart hospital. I can count on Think Geek to have the unusual.
The plush bacon is pretty big (much bigger than the heart). It isn't very soft and had something rigid inside down the sides to keep it straight. It only says one phrase, but the mouth does move. You do have to open the Velcro on the bottom and turn the battery pack on before it will talk. There is a button near the top edge on the left hand side. It does come with the necessary batteries.
ETA: The bacon was a hit with the older "kids" at Christmas. My 20-something niece and nephew seemed to wish they had received one. I also wanted to add that the tag says it is not suitable for children under 3.

My First Bacon is really cool. He's funny and unique, overall a very good purchase. When you push the button, he says "I'm Bacon" in a rather humorous fashion. BUY THE BACON.
