Harms Hunger
Harmon Steele had been trying to negotiate the acquisition of the neighboring ranch owned by his friend Sally Tanner prior to her recent death. Ty and Jena were deeded the land, and both agreed to the sale, but when Jena met Harm and Ty to finalize the sale, she was horrified to find Harm was the man she had a brief interlude with earlier in the day. That was also the time she chose to drop the bomb that she wasn't signing until she spent some time at the ranch. Everyone was angry with Jena, but Harm ended up offering to take her out to Sally's place. It was raining during the drive, and to avoid a falling tree, Harm had to swerve into a ditch. Jena wasn't hurt badly, but Harm hit his head hard on the steering wheel, and couldn't remember who Jena was. She told him she was his girlfriend hoping she wasn't digging a huge hole for herself. Harm treated her like she was special after that, and they had an explosive time at Sally's. Jena was worried about what would happen when his memory returned because she wanted to be with him. Would he still care about her or revert to treating her like the enemy? Tys Temptation Ty Hudson was in town for his sister Jena's wedding to Harmon Steele. He was staying at the Double D that he and Jena had inherited from their Aunt Sally. When he got to the ranch, he frightened the very naked local vet assistant staying at the ranch, and before he knew it she had him laid out and hog-tied. Apparently Harm had asked Evan Masters to take care of a sick horse, and offered her the house to stay at while Jena asked Ty to stay at the house. Evan told Ty she was a vet assistant, but from all the phone calls she received in just a few minutes, she was very much in demand. Evan told Ty she would just come check on things each morning and night, and he could have the house. That disappointed him because he found himself very intrigued with his new acquaintance. As attracted to each other as they were, they just seem to bring out the worst in each other. Ty kept trying to fix Evan hinting that she should go to school for her vet license insinuating what she was doing was not good enough. He in turn was a very career driven architect with dark possessive sexual tendencies. She knew they could never have any type of relationship because he was just visiting, and didn't do commitment. When Evan blurted out she was a virgin, Ty decided he was no longer interested. As much as Evan tried to avoid Ty, it seemed like circumstances kept throwing them together. When she could take it no longer, Evan cornered Ty in the barn, and told him she wanted him even if it was only for a couple of days. Ty agreed because he couldn't quit thinking about her and wanting her. Every time they got close to consummating their relationship, they were interrupted, and Evan was beginning to think it wasn't meant to be. It was at Jena's engagement party that Ty found out that Evan was the vet not the assistant. He had been trying to keep his distance, but wanted her desperately. He would have her and the answers to all his questions. Two good stories in the Bad In Boots series. The characters were very likeable, and well balanced. Very sexy and sensually written.

Give into the hunger & temptation,
By
This review is from: Bad in Boots: Hunger and Temptation (Books 1 and 1.5) (Paperback)
These titles in the Bad in Boots series are electrifyingly hot, sensual and marvelous. Patrice Michelle writes this tale with strength and knows how to please her readers. Harm Steele is delicious sin from the tip of his cowboy hat right down to the heels of his cowboy boots. He is the fantasy man in a lot of ladies dreams and he gives new meaning to the term "Stud".
Ty is equally tempting and wonderful from his re-awakening to love, his sexiness and the temptation he brings. He and Evan thrilled this reader with their erotic dance around one another and their fall was smokin' hot!! Ms. Michelle writes with a talented hand, bringing readers great characters that mesh with the landscapes and the steamy love scenes. Bravo!!

I thought this was a great short read. Yes it has a lot of sex that happens really quickly but hey, the guys are hot! I thought both stories were a fun light read for when I only have a short amount of time and don't feel like getting into a long read.
