THIS IS THE HECTOR WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR HE SEEMS TO BE GOOD ON EVERYBODYS ALBUM TILL IT COMES TO HIS OWN THE ALBUM IS WAY BETTER THEN THE ROMPE DISCOTEKAS IN THIS ALBUM HECTOR IS IN ALL THE TRACK UNLIKE SOME OF HIS OTHER PRODUCTIONS THE SONG MALDADES AND SI SUPIERAS ARE HOT!GREAT ALBUM AND # 10 TE VAS IS OFF THE HOOK

To not like this album is to not like what Reggaeton meant in the first place the streets the reality in them and the music that express the reality of those same streets to the Puertorrican youth, party music to dance to and the revolutionary sound of the people's music. Having been there from the beginnig of the genre I can tell you how much this album feels like something circa 1991-1996 not in sound of course but in attitud. For example the track "Rumor de Guerra" Uses the chorus from Mr.Notty's then know as "Notty boy" song of same name from 1996 "The Noise vol.7 Bring the noise" various artist album. The thing is that instead of sampling the chorus he actually gets Notty to reprise his vocals for this song making it more powerful by it. By the way Notty is one of the producers in the Gold Star family. And for those who now about the old school will see the irony is the fact that the original song was meant as a "tiraera" song against Lito & Polaco and now both of them work for the same label. The other song that is a salute to the golden era of Reggaeton is "boom bye bye" a song that samples the "Nando Boom" Panamanian Dance Hall song with in turn was a spanish version of the original Jamaican Dance Hall by the great "Buju Banton" thus paying tribute to Reggaeton's Jamaican foundation. Other major songs in the album include "Sola" a very impresive and groundbreaking song written by one if not the best composer in the genre's history "Wise". "En busca de ti" feat.Polaco in this song the "Father" and "Pola" rhyme their way thru one of the years most hardcore track were they go on a lirycal rampage against the "King". "Maldades" in this one Hector goes Bachaton with the results being the best song since "Mayor que yo" that combines these to genres of music but this is no sorprise since Hector alongside Divino created the classic "Noche de aventura. All in all this album is already a classic one of those rare albums that you can play from beginning to end. Hector proves here that he will go down as one of the greats of genre and this album a key piece in bringing back the real Reggaeton. This music is about the streets the pains and hardships of the caribbean experience even in hardtimes Reggaeton can make us forget and be happy even if it last one song at a time. Hector is bringing back the style that made Reggaeton popular in PR in the first place he's teaching those who don't know how it was and the new artist out there how it should be. The young you'll learn from their elders and the kids you'll learn from their "Father".

Hector El Father from his sinister,haunting and provoking laugh to his verbal delivery of words reggaeton at its finest this album is a CLASSIC.He is everybit one of the originators of this sound

He is producer, rapper and singer and did a solid album with "bad boy". It`s a classic!

Great for the guys that just like the classic reggaeton. Personally I am a little bored by the same bids and same rythms.

Despues de hacer los discos de varios artistas, "los Anormales", "Sangre Nueva" con Naldo, y "los Rompediscotecas", Hector por fin saca su primer disco como solista. Lo poco que puedo decir del disco es bueno pero no gran cosa, pero tampoco tiene nada muy malo. Podria ser mejor sin el intro, el primer exito promocionado en la radio, "Sola" no es gran cosa. La mejor cancion de este disco es "telefono" que tambien esta en "Los Rompediscotecas" y "Los Vaqueros" de Wisin Y Yandel.

He has much better songs than the ones in this albun. When he did "Los Rompediscotecas" he had other good artist doing songs with him. The artists on this CD are not as good.

This is why reggaeton is grabage. First the name of the CD is The Bad Boy, and all the songs are about love and girls. The beats are the same, all the same beats all the time..........is like bubble gum music. and by the way this ain't hip hop.
