Bad Boys II is the best rap album this year!, July 19, 2003
This review is from: Bad Boys II (Clean) (Audio CD)
"Bad Boys II" the soundtrack (Clean) is excellent and brilliant without compromise just like Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are. "Show Me Your Soul" From P. Diddy, Lenny Kravitz, Pharrell Williams, and Loon is superb. "La-La-La" From Jay-Z is excellent. "Shake Ya Tailfeather" From Nelly, P. Diddy, & Murphy Lee is dynamite. "Girl I'm A Bad Boy" From Fat Joe & P. Diddy Feat. Dre is brilliant. "Keep Giving Your Love To Me" From Beyonce is intriguing. "Realest N*ggas" From Notorious B.I.G. & 50 Cent is fanastic. "Flipside" From Freeway is excellent. "Gangsta Sh*t" From Snoop Dogg With Loon is brilliant. The rest of the tracks to the soundtrack I haven't listened to yet, but it could be as brilliant as the ones I just named off just now. Get this soundtrack now, I mean, now!

A pure Hollywood soundtrack, September 20, 2009
This review is from: Bad Boys II (Clean) (Audio CD)
Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has done it again with the Bad Boys II movie soundtrack to the 2003 hit movie of the same name. I like the clean version better because I once had the original explicit content version and I quickly got tired of hearing all of those curse words. Just my opinion.
Featuring an all-star lineup and production by Diddy himself, Just Blaze, Cool & Dre, Nelly, and the Neptunes, the hits are here.
It needed to be called a "music from and inspired by..." soundtrack because almost half of the songs weren't even in the movie. Good credit booklet as well as pics and dialogue from the movie made it a worthwhile keepsake.
Songs featured in the movie:
-"Show Me Your Soul" by P. Diddy, legendary musician Lenny Kravitz, Virginia's own Pharrell Williams (of N.E.R.D. and the Neptunes production team) and then up-and-coming Bad Boy prodigee, Loon
-"Shake Ya Tailfeather" (which serves as the movie's theme song) features P. Diddy, plus Nelly and Murphy Lee
-"Girl, I'm a Bad Boy" with Terror Squad leader Fat Joe, P. Diddy and Dre (one half of the production team, Cool & Dre)
-"Keep Giving Your Love to Me" by Mrs. Shawn Carter herself, Beyonce
-"Gangsta S---" by the LBC's homeboy, Snoop Dogg, alongside Loon
-"Love Don't Love Me" by former *NSync frontman, Justin Timberlake
-"Didn't Mean" by Mary J. Blige
In the booklet, Diddy said that Freeway's "Flipside" and M.O.P. and Sherita Lynch's "Wanna Be G's" were the only bonus tracks that wasn't featured in Bad Boys II. That's not true.
The other songs (that were inspired by Bad Boys II) were:
-"La-La-La" by the Jigga-Man, Jay-Z (a Neptunes production) which should've been in the movie
-"Pretty Girl Bull----" by Mario Winans and Foxy Brown
-"Relax Your Mind" by Loon
-"Realest N-----" by 50 Cent and the late Notorious B.I.G. (good rap flow by Biggie)
-"Why" by Da Band (from MTV's "Making the Band")
I also wish that Diddy would have put the movie's score by Trevor Rabin and hip-hop super producer, Dr. Dre, on here. The score was really on-point. I believe that he did a great injustice by not putting it on the soundtrack.
In conclusion, a decent soundtrack that left me wondering why not Trevor Rabin and Dr. Dre, but overall, a listener.
