This is one very cool album. These guys are great at writing dance tunes that are actually good songs just to listen to. They are well written with hot beats and cool rythms. I would definately reccomend it.

"Bad Boys" is a classic song and is the theme to the popular show "COPS." "Sweat A La La La La La Long" is a popular 1993 song as well. "Rock with You" is good as well. There are also remixes of "Sweat" and "Bad Boys" which are very unique to which you can listen. If you like reggae music, this is a must for you.

In spite of the group being famous for "Bad Boys", the song "Sweat" is the best! It's sexy, complex in structure, and really makes you want to dance.

This is one jumping fine reggae CD. I bought it mainly for the "Bad Boys" from the COPS series, but I found many of the songs were enoyable and entertaining. I like to play it loudly out on the patio, not bothering the neighbors, and having a cold, cold Corona beer with lime (from my tree in the front yard), maybe barbequing some fresh fish. Even my mongrel dogs likes to dance about when the decibels hit a certain high level. It's a fun CD during the daytime, and when the sun does down, great to play on the beach and dance in the sand.

"Sweat" reminds me of a cruise I was on and meeting the most beautiful girl in the world while on it. (You reading this Janna?) Sweat and Bad Boys are the known songs but "Hey Love" and "Tear Down These Walls" are great songs as well. Every song's listenable and catchy. The remix of Sweat mimics the all too common rhythm that Meredith Brooks used in "Bitch" and Alanis used in "You Learn". Wish the album would bring back the cruise, oh well.

It's hard to believe Inner Circle's been around since the days of Bob Marley. The lineup and style have changed, but the name remains the same. The Calton Coffee era of Inner Circle remains my favorite, and Bad Boys represents a sort of sweet spot within that era. Unfortunately, it was also just about the end.

Most people will know the band from this album's title track, or possibly "Sweat (A la la la la long)." Both tracks had multiple releases, with "Bad Boys" being milked for all it was worth, with the success of "Cops," and both songs would continue to see release well after Coffee left the band. Both songs deserve the hype, however.

"Bad Boys" is a solid record from start to finish, with no absolutely bad tracks. There were a couple I found forgettable, such as "Slow It Down" and "Wrapped Up In Your Love," but they aren't bad songs--they are merely dwarfed by better, more memorable ones. Either track might be a solid addition to another, weaker album.

Aside from "Bad Boys" and "Sweat," there are some other standout tracks: The sultry "Tear Down These Walls," a beautifully dark cover of "Down By The River" that rivals the original, and the bouncy "Rock With You."

Even in an era of MP3s, custom playlists, and an interest in single tracks, there's enough standing out on this album to make it owrth listening to from start to finish.
