Bad Boys Score,
By UltraVinz "ultravinz" (Hong Kong) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bad Boys: Music From The Motion Picture (Audio CD)
This is a great CD. Though I'm not really into Hip Hop Rap & R&B, the song goes well with the movie. I'm just disappointed that only one Mark Mancina score is included in this CD.I've downloaded some Mark Mancina Bad Boys Score from an anonymous user on the internet. The album title is "Bad Boys Score Promo" which includes tracks like : The scores are really good! I hope an official Bad Boys Score CD will be released since a promo disc is made.

With some movie soundtrack albums, you don't necessarily need to have seen the movie to appreciate the music. "Bad Boys" is one of these."Shy Guy" by Diana King, for example, has gotten enough radio airplay that everyone knows it at least by its opening lines, "Oh lorda mercy mercy mer-cy....", etc. You can find other cool remixes of Juke Joint Jezebel inat least one or two other movie soundtracks. Be careful: the recording of the "Bad Boys" theme featuring Tek is NOT the version heard in the movie (at the very end). That particular version is a remix that can be found on Inner Circle's famous "Bad Boys" album. Tek's recording is more like an answering call to that question: "Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?" But it does sample the main chorus of the Inner Circle song---about as much as we hear during an episode of "Cops"---and it *is* a cool recording. But it is really the Boyz II Men-style, from-the-heart singing of Keith Martin on "I'll Never Find Someone Like You" that really tugs at me. It is so reminiscent of "The End of the Road"; I really feel that all of us men should learn at least one song like that and sing it to the women we love. At the end of the album, we get a small sampling of Mark Mancina's theme for the movie, with a bass line and drum machine activity that seems to harken back to the first "Speed" movie. It's excellent.
