Editorial Reviews

Review

Bad Elements: Crystal Dragon is an edgy, well-written novel. It is dark and at times quite intense with elements of erotica that work well within the story, as opposed to being gratuitous.
--Colleen Wanglund, MoreHorror.com

Lynn Mullican's debut novel Bad Elements delivers with its believable characters and serves up a solid one-two punch with its distinct and often bleak atmosphere in underground fighting.
--Dale L. Murphy, Graveside Tales

Crystal Bouchard was kidnapped and trained to fight for vampires and werewolves entertainment. She was a winner and both vampires and werewolves wanted her but she only wanted to survive to find her son. This was a very fast story with lot of action and deadly fights. This was a very intense book with lot of violence and upsetting narrations. I’m used to paranormal and historical romance and this book was very different but nevertheless after reading some chapters I was really intrigued about Crystal and what would be of her. She was a mature woman with no beau to fight for her, so she has to fight for her life. Interesting how the wolves and vampires were mixed together. Think I will go for the next one because I want to know how this story ends.

Abducted and forced to fight to save her son she doesn't remember, Crystal Bouchard is in an underground cell. She was told to kill or be killed. Nickname The Dragon, she shows no mercy for her opponents where she fight humans among vampires and werewolves. After years of fighting and the horror of blood and death, she slowly remembers bits and pieces of her former life and what happened to her husband and friend...........

Lynn Mullican kept me spellbound as I cheered and cried with Crystal. After her escape, she is taken again and told to fight or die, and she does what she has to do in order to get her son. Book one kept me rapidly reading and can't wait to read the rest!

First, let me say, I loved this story. The plot was great, and I will be reading the next one. I only gave the book 3 stars because the beginning was quite slow and I found the author was too descriptive at times, making me lose interest. The characters were well developed, but I noticed that sometimes too much information was given that wasn't really necessary.
Despite all that, I really liked the story and will be reading the next book in the series.

3.5 Stars! copy received in exchange of an honest review!
I am not a huge fan of paranormal but I do read some. The story started off way to slow for me, it took me a while to get into it. If you love vampires and werewolves then this story is probably a good one for you. This book contains violence, romance..

The author did a good job with the character and making the story flow. Check it out for yourself!

Bad Elements: Crystal Dragon by Lynn Mullican throws in the Fight Club formula and mixes it with an unexpected added recipe: werewolves and vampires

what's not to like?

It has all the right ingredients of a fun, exciting and riveting good read. Throw in popular genres to make an entertaining story. This could be one of those books that if it gets the right attention it could very well make a cult novel and perhaps one day, a fine cult movie, deservingly so.

I was surprised I liked this book as much as I did. The characters were well developed and the plot was fairly well thought out. The ending does leave you hanging so you will want to get the second book in the series right away because I hate not knowing what happens next.

This book was awesome. I love all the fighting . There was some sex but not drowning you in it . It is a vampire,Shifter novel so beware. I think there's more to come because she still hasn't remembered she has a daughter.
