Editorial Reviews

Review

"Bad Girls is Carole at her finest: delving into the psyche of women and telling us what makes them tick. She has no fear of looking at the deepest human emotions - here, the way that manipulative, broken women can break into pieces the men who love them. A great piece of writing. Love the book."
(Keith Ablow, M.D., Psychiatrist and Fox )

"Want to be a man-magnet? Dig into top celebrity psychiatrist, Dr. Carole Lieberman's engrossing look at the allure of bad girls. Men will learn to beware of these dangerous damsels. Women will discover how to be as irresistible as a "bad girl" without becoming "bad." This book will put you under its spell!" Bonnie Fuller, Editor, HollywoodLife.com.

A Bad Girl is like a tornado, a thunderstorm, and an earthquake all rolled into one, leaving a trail of destruction through a man's life. Once she's enticed him into her web and extracted all she can from him, she finishes him off like a black widow spider killing the male after she mates. (sample quote from the book )

From the Author

Please note: This page has been 'Amazon-bombed', attacked by negative reviews after Dr. Lieberman was quoted on a news site as saying that violent video games are dangerous. Bad Girls has nothing to do with video games, but rather is dedicated to helping men and women find the love they deserve in the dating jungle.

From the Dedication: This book is dedicated to all the good girls who have been wearing their heart on their sleeve... only to have it broken, and to all the men who have been preyed upon and hurt by bad girls. May this book soothe your pain and help you find the love you deserve.
Awards: Bad Girls: Why Men Love Them & How Good Girls Can Learn Their Secrets won
Best How-To (Self-Help) Book of the Beach Book Festival, New York Book Festival and

More About the Author

A three-time Emmy award-winner, Dr. Carole Lieberman analyzes the psychological impact of world events, as a guest and/or host on all major media outlets. Her passionate commentary is far more than entertaining and exciting -- it dauntlessly cuts to the heart of the issue! Perhaps that explains why everyone from Oprah to Larry King, Katie Couric to Bill O'Reilly, and countless others, think of Dr. Carole when they need a 'house call'.

Viewers will recognize her from frequent appearances on Fox News, CNN, BBC, "The Today Show", "Good Morning America", Court TV, "Entertainment Tonight" and many more.

She can be heard live as the host of "Dr. Carole's Couch", a weekly Internet radio show on voiceamerica.com. Here she analyzes the problems and pop culture of today's headlines: from terrorism to trials, love affairs to business affairs, and success stories to celebrity scandals.

THis book is very poorly written.

This reinforces the stereotype that women are little more than sex objects and tries to invalidate the uphill battle women have had to wage for gender equality.

This is by far the worst book I have ever read.

This book presents conjecture as facts, and seems to be nothing more han an attempt by the author to see her name in print. Misguided and narrow-minded.

Carole Lieberman culled the stories of men without checking her facts. I should know: I was contacted by a talk show, telling me that I was one of the "Bad Girls" in the book and that a man I had known had told "my story" to Dr. Lieberman, and did I want to come on the show and "defend myself"! When the story was read to me, I laughed because while some of the most basic facts were true, the "story" was entirely false. This book is pure fabriaction, and the cover is laughably cheesy.

This book was full of nonsense and easily detectable misspellings and punctuation errors. I thought it was a joke at first like maybe it was trying to be funny in it's presentation but I could not ignore the problems beyond the first 5 pages. I would assume that this is a book that is self published and the author must have provided her own editing. In terms of the message presented, the author would seem to pass off mere speculation and hyperbole as fact. I don't see an ounce of evidence to suggest she is even a licensed physician to make the connections she posits in her writing. I would highly recommend you do yourself a favor and spend the 10 dollars this book costs and buy yourself a box of fortune cookies instead. At least you will get a message from the cookies that might ave a lasting positive impact on your life instead of this dribble.

Format: Paperback
It teaches girls as young as 9 years old to throw away their "good girl" qualities and replace them with bad ones. The reasoning, to be more successful. When girls try to "bad", they sell themselves out and their personality. Of course, violent crimes against women can be expected to increase if this book ever became popular because "bad girl" behavior invites in men who will do anything to have a "bad girl", including violence.

The author's points are flat out idiotic and her evidence is lacking. Also, it was edited terribly and was very hard to comprehend in some areas due to grammatical errors in the text.

If you value your children and their future you will skip out on this book.

This book is an affront to women everywhere. The author is irresponsibly promoting manipulation and deceit as a means to get what you want, then will go on TV and tell everyone that the media is responsible for the poor reception to her lazy excuse for a book.

By the cover you'd think it was an erotic novel about time spent working in a brothel, but it's not. I actually found it to be worse in some ways, offering tips and tricks for manipulating people you have relationships with. It does so under the veil of educating women on how not to behave. But it's about as effective as the D.A.R.E. program which teaches kids about the different drugs and their effects.(i.e. has the opposite effect) These kinds of books are dime a dozen and should be discouraged, as they weaken our society as a whole.

Format: Paperback
In this irrelevant look at love, Lieberman attempts to help good girls discover bad girl secrets, so that men will fall at their feet without breaking their hearts. Which, like feminism, will lead to a happiness crisis for any educated woman.

Throughout the book, she shares page-turning, real-life stories of men who have loved Bad Girls and have lived to tell the tale. Culled from over one hundred interviews, some are shocking, some sad, some hard to believe, but all compelling and unforgettable. And you can't help but feel sorry for all of these guys, and why would any self respecting woman want to be cheapen their own image in pursuit of fleeting success or monetary gain? This book should be called "Prositution for Dummies."

And at the end of every chapter, the author describes famous Bad Girls who captivate us --- from Scarlett O'Hara to Madonna, Anna Nicole Smith to Cleopatra, and Angelina Jolie to the ladies of "Sex and the City." And these are all women young girls should aspire to be? Absolutely ridiculous. This is why we have 12 year old girls running around in thongs.

The point of this book is to teach supposedly decent women how to get ahead in the world... by manipulating men. If that isn't enough to make you want to run away from this book, then allow me to continue. The proofreading is terrible. It is hard to believe this is a published book, just from this alone. The message, that the only way women can get what they want is by stealing, lying, and manipulating, is one of the worst, most despicable things I have ever had the displeasure of reading. It objectifies women, telling them that the only way to get ahead in the world to to use their bodies to do the aforementioned things. Women who do this are not to be praised, in any way, at all.

Why would anyone write something like this? I cannot continue without repeating myself, so I'll wrap this up with one word: AVOID.
