Book Description

November 11, 2010 292386512X 978-2923865126
Please note: This page has been 'Amazon-bombed', attacked by negative reviews after Dr. Lieberman was quoted on a news site as saying that violent video games are dangerous. Bad Girls has nothing to do with video games, but rather is dedicated to helping men and women find the love they deserve in the dating jungle.
Why do millions of smart, savvy, successful men fall helplessly in love with women who are destined to break their hearts? Who are these Bad Girls, poised to pounce on the next nice guy just waiting to become their prey? And how can good girls learn to become man-magnets without becoming 'bad'?

Bad Girls: Why Men Love Them & How Good Girls Can Learn Their Secrets by Dr. Carole Lieberman is a no-holds barred, provocative look at the dangerous damsels who steal the hearts of men everywhere. They take what they want---money, sex, drugs, or other objects of desire---and leave these unsuspecting men in the dust.

While Bad Girls have different strategies for manipulating nice guys, they share certain alluring traits. Irresistibly exciting, clever, flirtatious, and seductive, they make their man feel like the sexiest, most invincible stud on the planet!

For ladies, there's the Bad Girl Test to reveal whether you're a Wanna-Be Bad Girl, a Man-Eater or somewhere in between. For men, there's The Sitting Duck Test to warn you just how vulnerable you are.

In this irreverent and insightful look at love, Lieberman helps good girls discover bad girl secrets, so that men will fall at their feet without breaking their hearts.

Throughout the book, she shares page-turning, real-life stories of men who have loved Bad Girls and have lived to tell the tale. Culled from over one hundred interviews, some are shocking, some sad, some hard to believe, but all compelling and unforgettable. And at the end of every chapter, the author describes famous Bad Girls who captivate us --- from Scarlett O'Hara to Madonna, Anna Nicole Smith to Cleopatra, and Angelina Jolie to the ladies of Sex and the City.

Bad Girls: Why Men Love Them & How Good Girls Can Learn Their Secrets won Best How-To (Self-Help) Book of the Beach Book Festival, New York Book Festival and Hollywood Book Festival.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Bad Girls is Carole at her finest: delving into the psyche of women and telling us what makes them tick. She has no fear of looking at the deepest human emotions - here, the way that manipulative, broken women can break into pieces the men who love them. A great piece of writing. Love the book."
(Keith Ablow, M.D., Psychiatrist and Fox )

A Bad Girl is like a tornado, a thunderstorm, and an earthquake all rolled into one, leaving a trail of destruction through a man's life. Once she's enticed him into her web and extracted all she can from him, she finishes him off like a black widow spider killing the male after she mates. (sample quote from the book )

More About the Author

A three-time Emmy award-winner, Dr. Carole Lieberman analyzes the psychological impact of world events, as a guest and/or host on all major media outlets. Her passionate commentary is far more than entertaining and exciting -- it dauntlessly cuts to the heart of the issue! Perhaps that explains why everyone from Oprah to Larry King, Katie Couric to Bill O'Reilly, and countless others, think of Dr. Carole when they need a 'house call'.

Viewers will recognize her from frequent appearances on Fox News, CNN, BBC, "The Today Show", "Good Morning America", Court TV, "Entertainment Tonight" and many more.

She can be heard live as the host of "Dr. Carole's Couch", a weekly Internet radio show on voiceamerica.com. Here she analyzes the problems and pop culture of today's headlines: from terrorism to trials, love affairs to business affairs, and success stories to celebrity scandals.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible nonsense February 9, 2011
Format:Paperback
This book presents conjecture as facts, and seems to be nothing more han an attempt by the author to see her name in print. Misguided and narrow-minded.

1.0 out of 5 stars The WORST. A Pack of Lies. Irresponsible Crap. February 8, 2011
Format:Paperback
Carole Lieberman culled the stories of men without checking her facts. I should know: I was contacted by a talk show, telling me that I was one of the "Bad Girls" in the book and that a man I had known had told "my story" to Dr. Lieberman, and did I want to come on the show and "defend myself"! When the story was read to me, I laughed because while some of the most basic facts were true, the "story" was entirely false. This book is pure fabriaction, and the cover is laughably cheesy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Full of baseless assumptions and speculative evidence February 9, 2011
Format:Paperback
This book was full of nonsense and easily detectable misspellings and punctuation errors. I thought it was a joke at first like maybe it was trying to be funny in it's presentation but I could not ignore the problems beyond the first 5 pages. I would assume that this is a book that is self published and the author must have provided her own editing. In terms of the message presented, the author would seem to pass off mere speculation and hyperbole as fact. I don't see an ounce of evidence to suggest she is even a licensed physician to make the connections she posits in her writing. I would highly recommend you do yourself a favor and spend the 10 dollars this book costs and buy yourself a box of fortune cookies instead. At least you will get a message from the cookies that might ave a lasting positive impact on your life instead of this dribble.

I agree with the sentiment shared by other posters, the author in question not only had the audacity to go on national TV and spew blatant lies that have long been debunked, but she also had the gall to cite unscientific internet-based public opinion polls as evidence to back up her assertions... Read more
