Once again, Johnson's gift of intrigue, suspense and actionheld me from the first to the last. I love the way her detaileddescriptions take me right into the action -- from the lair of an addict and her addiction, to the pornography protesters picket, and through the conservative world of DC business and glamour.

Johnson has a true talent for mixing mystery with romance, making Bad Moon Rising a wonderfully intriguing novel filled with believable characters that one ends up caring about.

Meanwhile, she also sets the stage for her next by making one wonder where Colleen is headed -- both with work and with love (will she be entranced by Jenna, or will she remain with Gillian?)

I eagerly await the next in this fabulous series!

In this suspenseful whodunit, insurance investigator Colleen Fitzgerald must delve deep into the seamy netherworld of the sex industry to find the killer beautiful porn star Amber Rose. In the heat of the investigation, Colleen discovers a dark secret in her lover Gillian's past that puts a serious strain on their relationship. Their love is further tested when Colleen shares a torrid flirtation with attorney Jenna Bolden, who is also working on the case -- but from a very different perspective.

Once again Barbara Johnson has crafted an engrossing thriller with just the right amount of romance and eroticism. Lambda Book Report was right on target when they wrote that "Bad Moon Rising is an enjoyable whodunit with a little something for everyone." Can't wait for the next one!!!!!
