5.0 out of 5 stars TFP Betters With Age
I have always liked TFP...with and without Scott Radinsky. This release is their first full length in several years...much awaited and maybe their last. It is maybe their best, as their music and lyrics mature with them. The lyrics are just as emotional and meaningful as ever, and the music, as hard driving as ever, would satisfy even the youngest hardware-store faced...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not So Great
Ten Foot Pole was better when Scott was in the band. The band has changed a lot depending on how you view them. The band has moved away from their raw punk energy that Scott delivered and is trying to appeal to MTV fanatics. If you like Green Day style pop-punk, this is for you. But Bad Religion and NOFX fans should buy Rev instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars TFP Betters With Age, January 10, 2003

It is maybe their best, as their music and lyrics mature with them. The lyrics are just as emotional and meaningful as ever, and the music, as hard driving as ever, would satisfy even the youngest hardware-store faced teen! But don't be fooled, this edition of TFP is thoughtful and meaningful and the songs will stick in your head. This is great and I recommend to any "true" punk or emo fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars They're Back And Better Than Ever!, January 15, 2003

Wow! I'm a big Ten Foot Pole fan, let me say that right now. In my opinion, this is their best CD. If you like LA style punk, stop reading this and just go buy the CD. I really don't know what else to say. Every song is a winner.

Ten Foot Pole has, in my opinion, one of the best lead singers in the music biz and he really does a great job on this CD. The band has two new additions and they both breathe a lot of life into the music. The songs all sound really fresh and great.

Trust me on this: Ignore the stupid title and go buy this CD. You'll like it. And if you don't, at least you've got a great new beer coaster.

5.0 out of 5 stars energy, experience, positivity, October 23, 2002

TFP has really been energized by the addition of their new drummer, Kevin Ruggeri. This album, though brief, compresses 12 bouncy, strong songs together that demonstrate the synergy between the experience of the band's older members & experienced songwriting with the infusion of new blood. Kevin really shines, ripping with abandon throgh most of the tracks, though that is to say nothing for the excellent vocals & playing from Dennis, Johnny and Steve.

There are some music styles that make you sweat! Make you want to get up and scream along to the beat! With the advent of Grunge (or Grudge Music as I like to call it) I forsaw the death of "true" Rock 'n' Roll. Monotone voices with inane whining lyrics really depressed me about the new music scene, so much so that I refused to buy any new music for years. Then I heard "Givin' Gravity a Hand" and "Plastic." I just had to know who the heck this band was! I had thought Punk Rock had died years and years ago. (I wasn't what you would call "up" on most of the new music coming out through the '90's) I was dead wrong!!! Ten Foot Pole is the best thing I've heard in years! I even bought a CD! And for me that was a BIG step, being the old school man that I am. (I still prefer albums, but we won't get into that right now) This CD is straightforward, in-your-face, shut up and sweat music! It blew me away! Each song is two minutes of pounding drums and wailing rhythyms! AND the lyrics are pretty darn good too!!! Buy it! Crank it! ... It's well worth the investment!
