Bad Religion was formed in 1980 by high school students Greg Graffin (vocals, keyboards), Jay Bentley (bass guitar), Jay Ziskrout (drums) and Brett Gurewitz (guitar). Their main influences were punk stalwarts like The Ramones, Black Flag and The Sex Pistols. They deliver intelligent lyrics, tackling controversial political and religious topics with a driving punky, sometimes harmonized style.
