I don't know, but this one doesn't work for me. I applied it on my temples, above my upper lip, and my throat and nothing happened - I still couldn't sleep. It calms you a lil' bit, but thats about it.

When I ordered this, I also ordered (Nelson) Bach Rescue Sleep. Now this one works for me (see my review of it under Bach Rescue Remedy Sleep for further details). It's much better than Badger.

I'll check out Valerian Extract (standardized) next time and see the differences between the two.

The balm works so well you hardly realize you are falling asleep. The smell is soothing and puts your body at ease quickly. I would suggest purchasing this product for anyone who has sleeping problems.

This is the best stuff for getting a good nights rest. I bought my first tin of Sleep Balm about two years ago, as a last resort. I was skeptical at first, but after a few nights, I was sleeping like a baby. Now, I can't sleep without it, and I even use it on my kids. FANTASTIC results!

I love this product. Your mind stops racing and begins to relax and wonderful peaceful dreams begin.

Hands down the best soothing balm for sore aches and pains. It is not icy hot treatment like Ben Gay or similar. It is a naturally occuring warmth that occurs where you apply it and within moments the pain naturally goes away. I do not know how this works or why the pain goes away, but it does. All those over the counter medicines for pain does nothing compared to this. There are no side effects and it also calms the senses because of the very pleasing essences. I would not buy anything else. You won't be disappointed with this little can.

It lasts forever, even if you use it everyday to treat neck and shoulder aches. A little goes a long way and applying too much is a waste. Rub it in "hard" (Use a few slow, deep strokes) and within seconds you should have relief. Within minutes, most or all of it should be gone.

This is by far the best muscle rub that I have used and its not made in china or thailand... something you have to wonder about these days. I play rugby on the club level and nothing has help my overworked muscles like Badger. In addition the smell is so pleasant you wish it would not washes out so easily. My wife forbade me from using any type of ben-gay or tiger balm after I stunk up the laundry. I am very happy with Badger!

I have been an insomniac all my life but don't like the adverse effects of most sleep aids. This was given as a gift to me. I would have never thought that something like this could work! I rub some on my temples and my lips and I slowly relax and fall asleep much more easily. Of course when I am completely wired it won't work as well or as fast, but I was amazed that on some nights that I forgot to use it I tossed and turned for while. Then I put this on and then fell asleep! I don't know how it works but it does. The smell is very discreet and pleasant.

I love this stuff. It smells great and really gets the kinks out. It even helped a crick in my neck!

I didn't expect this stuff to work but it does. The smell is a little odd at first but you get used to it. It's yellowish amber and kind of hard until you get it warmed up or dig into it a bit. Both my wife and I have been falling asleep quickly. She never had any issue, but I would often stay awake for hours. Now, we put a little on our lips and we're out. One odd thing is that this stuff is causing us to dream a lot more. Yeah, yeah.. I know everyone dreams, but we're both remembering them. I don't know if the dreams are more vivid, we're waking during the dreams, or if we're getting more REM. Nevertheless, I like the stuff.

It's wonderful, I'm on my second tin. I don't know how it works, but it does. When I use it, I fall asleep much more quickly, and I stay asleep. I think it somehow quiets my mind so that sleep comes easily. I've started using the "Clear Mind" balm in the morning, and I like that one very much, too.
