Badger Basket Company Tranquility Bassinet is lightweight and simple, yet generously sized inside and out. The suspended bassinet responds to baby's movements to reassure and comfort your little one during sleep. Complete bedding set and mattress pad included. Sleeping area measures 30" long by 20" wide by 13" high and is suspended from a sturdy, cherry finish, wood frame on strong, secure straps. Bedding set includes the bassinet body with attached skirt, one white sheet, and the canopy. Also includes a custom fitted, vinyl foam mattress pad in order to comply with current safety standards, the mattress is approximately 1" thick. Graceful, flowing canopy shades the interior. Overall unit measures 37" long x 27" wide x 56" high. It measures 28.5" from the top rim of the sleeping area to the floor. Soft, furry dot material is 100% polyester; sheet is 80% polyester and 20% cotton. Bedding zips off the frame and is machine wash cold and tumbles dry low. The bassinet is for use up to 20 pounds. 9.09 kg, 3 to 4 months or until the Baby can push up, roll over, or sit unassisted whichever age, weight, or activity limit comes first. Adult assembly is required and can be assembled by reading the illustrated instructions. Bassinet is made with birch wood, wood composites, and steel. Wipe the bassinet body clean with a damp cloth and mild soap when needed. The canopy can be removed and not used if desired. X frame is secured with metal braces and does not fold. I bought this bassinet because I liked the way it looked... it was different from other bassinets and I found it for a reasonable price on Amazon. The only problem is that part of it was unusually difficult to assemble. The four wooden rods which make the basket are attached together with screws- Unfortunately, the size of the holes do not seem to match up with the size of screws. One of the four rods ended up cracking during assembly. The good thing is that you can go online to a website provided on the instruction sheet and order any replacement part for free within 30 days of purchasing the product. So we received the replacement part and tried again, this time using an electric screwdriver. It was still not the easiest task, but at least this time nothing cracked.
If you are going to buy this product, I would recommend trying to assemble it soon after you receive it so that if there is a need to replace a part, you can do so for free.
I can't comment about comfort as my baby hasn't arrived yet....

The bassinet is larger than I realized. The wood is good quality and solid. However the wood has a reddish finish to it and does not match the pink very well. We buffed off the finish and painted the wood white and it looks amazing. Once we put it together the screws keep coming out, luckily our baby is not here yet so we have a little time to try and fix it.

This is a great product, but bigger than it looks in the picture (will accomodate a large baby too). You can wash everything and then it will collapse an store away to practically nothing until you need it again. The material also goes with the Carter's baby blankets (called faux mink) that are for sale this season and the Boppy changing pad cover.
