We bought this based on shape and reviews. We use it for an 18 month old and newborn, and it's great for both. The shape fits into corners and gives you an easier angle to do the 'job'. The shelves are convenient for storing and keeping handy all diaper and clothing changing equipment, even though some will complain they are thin, flimsy boards- we are taking about diapers, not a garage for cars.

The shape makes for a very stable table, and the mat fits on nicely- although the screws to attach it to the table are not too lasting. But then again, where would the mat run?

All in all a great changing table, with the only change I would make would be to enclose the storage shelves so the older children wouldn't have a field day undoing all your organizing.

4.0 out of 5 stars A few problems, January 7, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If this hadn't been on sale, with free shipping, and an overall good buy, I would have given this much lower than a 4. I found that it was easy to put together, but mine is in pieces and needs some "fixing", so the quality isn't, in my estimation, that great. The lips on the shelves (very flimsy) all came off. Every single one. The staples aren't straight, so I can't just pop them back on.

I've changed my nearly 2 year old on it (she's under 30 lbs) and it is a very sturdy product. I haven't figured out how to organize stuff on it, because I too have an older child in everything. I wish the company offered an extra cover for the changing pad. Since it is a specially sized mat, you have to order it from the company, and I don't feel 16$ is worth the thin poor quality cover that comes with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great set up for a changing table - worth any problems, January 27, 2009
By
I honestly don't know how people change their babies with the table facing sideways like almost all of the other tables on the market are arranged. Once you try this setup, you'll immediately see that it is far and away the best way to approach diaper changes. Yes, like the other reviewers, mine came with some broken parts, but the customer service was good and they sent out the replacements right away. The person who said the table was wobbly obviously doesn't have it pushed into the corner as it is designed to be, because the walls make it almost impossible for it to wobble if it is put together correctly. Either way, I'd suffer through a whole lot more than some broken parts and a little wobble in order to have the only table on the market that has the baby facing you this way--changing diapers with the baby facing any other way simply makes no sense once you've used this table.

3.0 out of 5 stars It will work for now, February 3, 2007
By
My wife and I bought this in anticipation of our first child. We really liked how the baby is angle toward you rather than sideways, and didnt find many other changing tables set up this way. We ordered this from Target, and had to return the first one due to the trim pieces being broken off during shipping. The second one was the same way, but I opted to just fix it myself rather than return it once again. Aside from the packaging problem, I think it will work out okay for a while, but its nothing great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great table, wonderful customer service, November 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Yes, it was flat-packed to the extreme, which meant one of the pieces arrived broken. So why am I giving it 5 stars?

Pros:
- great price (we paid about $130 for it) and free shipping
- the instructions came with info of how to order (for free) any unsatisfactory pieces - the whole process was automated (online), hassle-free and fast; the replacement piece arrived within a week;
- assembly was easy (but then, I have a lot of IKEA experience ;)
- the shape means there's room for essentials on the same level as the changing pad, which means no reaching underneath or around during diaper changes
- comes with safety strap (yes, yes - one hand on the child at all times, but we're first-time parents and appreciate any help)
- the pad screws to the table (through the straps), so it doesn't slide around at all
- easy product registration (mail or online)
- compact (we have a very small nursery and that really matters)
- accessible (easy to just walk up to, diaper pail can be placed right next to it without being in the way, great to be face-to-face with the kiddo while dealing with the "business" end from the easiest angle)
- color matches other brands (perfect with birch cribs from IKEA - and the size matches their Gulliver better than the Gulliver table itself!)

Cons:
- flimsy side shelves (but then, they were so easy to just drop into slots, and don't really need to be any sturdier; and we can always glue them down later on)
- flimsy, rectangular pad cover (it just doesn't fit a pointed pad, though at a push it can be stretched over it; I just made my own covers and don't consider that a drawback at all)

Somebody's mentioned that already, but it was really good advice: assemble in the nursery. Otherwise, you may not be able to get it through the door.

Overall, super happy with the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS TABLE! FOUND PERFECT BASKETS!!, August 6, 2010
I read reviews before buying and decided upon this one because of the angle of the baby and the angled sides made me feel more secure that my baby would not fall off. I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I have been using this table for 6 months and it has held up great. My 2 year old is over 30 lb. and he fits on it. I found baskets that fit the 2 middle shelves PERFECTLY!!!! They are the Seagrass V-Weave Basket (LARGE) from World Market. I can get 2 weeks worth of diapers and wipes for both my kids in one basket and the other one I put blanket, rags, and clothes I need on hand. Love this table, just wish I would of bought it when my first child was born.

1.0 out of 5 stars Truly deplorable, December 27, 2008

The unit arrived damaged, and I suspect the damage was not shipping-related (i.e. from the factory, whose QC group released it anyway). The three trim pieces attached to the front of the table arrived separated from the triangle-shaped shelves, due to poor glue/staples. The unit is almost entirely particle board, and is of very poor quality. Properly assembled by one who is mechanically inclined, this unit was still wobbly. Quite simply, it looks cheap. Avoid.

4.0 out of 5 stars It works, October 12, 2010

As others have mentioned the quality assurance department checking these out do a VERY POOR job. The decorative wood strip on the front of 2 shelves were broken off (poor aiming with the staples) when I opened the box. I did not want the exchange hassel, and repaired them myself (pulled out crooked staples and reglued and stapled).
Once assembled and placed in the corner, this is a very stable changing table. It will serve it's purpose and I don't regret purchasing it at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great item!, August 17, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was skeptical about this product after reading other reviews. I found this changing table to be extremely sturdy, easy to assemble, and a beautiful addition to our nursery. I chose this changing table over others due to the future possible uses as well as the unique design of fitting into a corner of the room.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a changing table or unique piece of corner furniture.
