The Elegance Bassinet is the most charming and unique place for your newborn to sleep. This special round bassinet is comfortable for Baby and stylish for your home. Generously sized interior measures 29.5 " in diameter and is 8.5 " deep. Bedding set includes a lovely skirt, soft bumper, fitted sheet, and drape canopy. Includes a custom fitted, vinyl covered foam mattress pad (in order to comply with current safety standards, the mattress does not exceed 1 inch in thickness). Graceful canopy shades the interior to keep out harsh light while Baby is snoozing. Canopy is height adjustable. Bassinet also includes caster wheels. Bumper attaches with grip tape and ribbon ties and is padded with polyester fill. Storage shelf beneath the bassinet creates a storage area for feeding and changing necessities and toys. Overall unit measures 32 " L by 32-" W by 49-" H, measures 31 " from the rim of the bassinet to the floor. Bedding set is poly/cotton and machine washable. Tumble dry medium, warm iron if needed. Bassinet is for use up to 20 pounds. (9.09 kg), 3-4 months, or until Baby can push up, roll over, or sit unassisted (whichever age, weight, or activity limit comes first). Assembles with a screwdriver. Illustrated instructions included. Additional poly/cotton sheets sold separately in packages of two. Bassinet is designed for babies up to 20 pounds, or until your baby can push up on her own. It's made with wood and wood composites, has caster wheels, and is coated with white non-toxic finish. Overall unit measures 32"L x 32"W x 49"H; 31" from the rim to the floor. Some assembly required. Assemble bassinet in the room you intend to use it unless your doorways are wider than 33".

I bought this item for my daughter-in-law. This bassinet is beautiful online. When it arrived and we proceeded to put it together one of the side pieces had two left legs instead of a left leg and a right leg. We had to redrill all holes in order for it to match. Also one of the rails were broken.(poorly packaged) Also I do not like the exposed meatal screws on top railing of bassinet, very tacky looking. Canopy does not fit properly. Also sheet was thread bare, I'm afraid to wash it.

I am very pleased with this bassinet. We ordered the Toile--the proper name I think for the pattern is Sage Toile according to Badger Basket. I had no shipping problems (i.e., broken/ missing/wrong pieces). Assembly was easy.

PROS:

- Unique, round, sturdy design

- Convenient bottom shelf to hold diaper items (pack of diapers, container of wipes, rash cream and room for a bit more)

- Made of wood

- Easy to move around the room

- Beautiful bedding is included and is machine washable

- One can lift baby easily form it

CONS:

- Bassinet cannot fit through doorway

- Ribbons on bedding may get frayed in the washing machine if one doesn't fasten the Velcro loops for the bumper/curtain before washing

- Comes with only one(1) fitted sheet. You must order a pack of 2 from Badger Basket that only come in Pure White, so it won't match rest of bedding when one uses the separately ordered sheets

DETAILS TO CONSIDER:

-The Sage Toile bedding that I received is a cream background with a light/medium "regular-green" toile print. The toile depicts small children playing outdoors (swinging, fishing, see-sawing, climbing trees). It is very tasteful, subtle, and classic-looking.

-The fitted sheet is also cream -- no pattern.

-The bassinet wood itself is white.

-Mattress is thin, but sufficient, safe, and firm.

I registered for this item & it was ordered for me by my mother-in-law. When I received the shipment, the circular framing of the bassinet was broken. I contacted BRU/Amazon and they picked it up/sent a new one. When I got the second one, it was broken in a different place. I was more than a little irritated by this point, so I called them to complain/make arrangements for a 3rd shipment, because although irritated, this was still the bassinet I wanted because of the visual appeal. I was told I would get a 3rd shipment, but a few days later my mother-in-law was notified that they would NOT be sending a 3rd, and that she would be refunded due a more widespread problem with this particular item than they anticipated. I was extremely upset because the item was still available to purchase online (was not available to purchase in BRU stores, if so I wouldn't have even tried to have it shipped again) to anyone else,and how dare them decide for me that I wouldn't be getting another one.

The bottom line was the shipping charges to Amazon/BRU, it costs them more & more each time they ship a new one/pick up an old one. They finally agreed to send a 3rd as "an exception" and yes when I received that one it was ALSO BROKEN. Now this not only makes me wonder about the sturdiness of the craftsmanship, but also WHY DOESN'T THE MANUFACTURER PACK THIS ITEM BETTER???? I did confirm it is packed/shippped directly from Badger Basket Company, not Amazon, but there was "nothing that could be done" to change the packing method, not even labeling the box "fragile" or "handle with care". I have read a few other customer reviews that mention the same problem with the poor packing of this item. There is no foam padding, no bubble wrap, no cardboard inserts, NOTHING to protect the item. I have received dvd shipments packed more carefully than this!

At this point I wanted nothing to do with this awful product, nor would I ever purchase something by Badger Basket Company again, (also the sheets only come in white and are paper thin, I don't think I would put my baby on them).

I gladly accepted the refund for this bassinet and purchased a different one that is MUCH more functional, rated better by doctors/baby experts, and is able to roll around & move right up to my bed. The "Elegance Round Bassinet" has no wheels, is stationary and quite a bit heavier, and let's face it, a bassinet is something I plan to use for a little while then probably store in the attic (the one I ended up purchsing folds up very compactly and fits in it's own storage bag, takes up a lot less room than the round), so my second choice actually ended up being muuuuuuch better.

One more thing, the quality isn't quite as nice as it looks online, but how would anyone know since that is the only way to acquire it??)

Save yourself some time and a headache, do not get this no matter how cute you think it looks.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
