What a treat! Love this item. The liner can be used like you see it or reversed with a nice embroidered white liner...not sure what that other person was saying, or she did not know you can reverse it?? Ties are nice and love the fact that you can take the hood off. Very Happy!

My 2 month old is still napping and sleeping in her basket. It appears she will outgrow it in another month, but by then I'll feel comfortable putting her in her crib. This is a great purchase if you live in a two story house and want an easily portable place for your baby to nap. It is nice not to have another large piece of baby furniture to store, as this is small and could even be used decoratively to hold stuffed animals, etc. Negatives: The liner shrunk when I washed it (I followed instructions)so I had to add extra ribbon ties to hold it closely to the basket all the way around. I have to use a pillowcase as a sheet when the sheet that came with the basket is dirty (often, with a newborn). Moses basket sheets I found online were too small.

i was very disappointed when this basket arrived all bent out of shape. i tried straightening it out by hanging it with some weight in it, but the sides simply wouldn't stay up. canopy part velcros onto basket, but it does not stay on well since the curves don't match up. it is not well made.

I ordered this for my daughter with hopes that she would use it while visiting friends. As it turns out, she has slept in it every night for three months. It fits well in her crib and has given her a smaller, newborn size place to sleep. I can also move it to where I want in the house and bring it on trips, and she sleeps equally well because she feels "at home". At three months, I regret she only has a few more weeks in it...but it has been worth every penny. And that velcro top didn't bother us at all.

I was pleasently surprised by the great quality of this basket.It is well made and very beautiful. Wonderful price too !

I received this basket as a gift and I am thankful for it. My baby is very comfortable in it and sleeps in it as he does in his crib. It is great to use during the day when you want to have you baby near you and when you go into another room you can take the baby with you without waking him up. The only drawback is that the handles are decorative only and get in the way. The handles tend to flop down on the baby, so I tucked them under the bedding rather than cutting them off completely.

I received this basket today and I love it, the bedding is reversible and both sides are gorgeous! The canopy/hood is a great feature and attaches easily with velcro so it stays on securely (the bedding probably should have been stored separately in a plastic bag, since it was stuck to the velcro when the package arrived). My only hesitation is this - how would you keep the handles from flopping onto the baby? They are very long and hang right over, into the bottom of the basket. Maybe they could be tied back. It's a tiny drawback for such an attractive and functional item, and such a great value.

Everything about this basket is cheap:

1) the sheet and gingham bedding are all polyester
2) the matress pad in combination with the synthetic bedding made my baby wake up drenched in sweat regardless of how much or little clothing she had on. this happened even when we covered the pad with a cotton sheet.
3) the basket comes with a warning to "never carry the basket by the handles when the baby is inside" - why the heck would anybody want a basket they cannot carry safely?!!!
4) on the first wash of the bedding little ribbons came apart and got tangled in the rest of the laundry. In addition, the huge partially paper tag also came apart and I had to remove residue from the laundry bit by bit. When I called the company they graciously replaced the bedding for free as they knew they had a problem. They also suggested to dip the ends of the ribbons in clear nail polish so that they don't come apart in the laundry. this is unacceptable as a long term solution.
5) the wicker is extremely scratchy - if you were tempted to leave the baby without the bedding.

Despite the company efforts to make good on the product - I would not recommend this for any baby.

This basket looks so sweet and nice in the picture, but when I pulled it out of the box I couldn't believe that the hood was attached with VELCRO!! I was SOOOOOOO disappointed. I can't believe it doesn't clearly state that in the description and no other reviewer thought to mention it! The velcro completely ruins what would have been an otherwise perfect basket. So, if you don't mind cheap, tacky-looking velcro, then this basket is okay (for the price).

I bought one moses basket, and then had to order another one due to a quality defect, and they both ended up getting returned. On the side of the basket, where the handles are located, the basket was either poorly wrapped or wasn't wrapped at all and the sharp basket material stuck out. I was bummed that I had to pay for shipping for both items and then had to return them as well. I really liked the idea of having a removable top piece but I would shop around for other baskets before purchasing this one.
