4.0 out of 5 stars Very detailed and informative for a compact guide
This guidebook has a lot of information about Copenhagen and outlying regions, almost too much in fact. The map included with the book is very helpful pointing out the major landmarks which are easy to read. 3.0 out of 5 stars The best
It's the best guide that I saw about Copenhagen. It's very complete and very useful for travelers that want to plan their own trip.

This guidebook has a lot of information about Copenhagen and outlying regions, almost too much in fact. The map included with the book is very helpful pointing out the major landmarks which are easy to read. One word of caution about the city is that the street names are difficult to decipher and the names don't have any impact on you so they can be difficult to remember. Nice features in the book is the three walking tours of which I took two while I was there, it's a great way to see the city. In the back is the general information about currency, public transportation etc. I looked at some other guides and they didn't have near the amount of information on landmarks that this one has. The beginning of the book has historical information which can provide a background for the places you want to visit. There are reviews of restaurants and cafe's in the back which are helpful but it is certainlty not all inclusive and could have included more, certaintly not a hindarance though. The reviews and capsules of various shops is a nice touch if that's your thing.

The format was good for the amount of information enclosed. I would have rather seen it laid out more like Fodor's Citypack guide's which to me is the best if your visiting one city with only 2-4 days there, which I used in London. They tend not to have as much detailed information as this Copenhagen guide does and only highlight major points of interest but have the best and most useful layout by far, unfortunately at this time they don't make one for Copenhagen. Also I didn't find the star system Baedeker's uses to be very useful. They give two stars for places they think is worthwhile and one for less so and zero to other landmarks.

All in all this is about the best compact guide to Copenhagen I readily found available and while not without it's faults it certaintly did the job.
