Twenty-five years ago Baffin Footwear began manufacturing insulated and non-insulated footwear products. While traditional molded boots are suitable for some conditions, they are not ideal for cold temperatures. Baffin combines leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, which creates a hybrid style of high-performance footwear. This equates to more warmth, better fit, and superior comfort. Baffin boots are different than most shoes and work boots because the sole and midsole are molded to the base in one continuous process. After doing quite a bit of research, shopping around and talking to people, I ordered these boots through Amazons' selected dealer. The service was extremely fast and the boots arrived on time. We had some snow recently here in New Jersey and it gave me a chance to put these boots to the test. They are very easy to put on and remove. They are true to size and fit perfectly. Best of all, these are warm and waterproof. I was outside for about two hours with the temperature in the mid twentys. Did not feel any coldness at all. The Baffin boot is a winner.

I was skeptical at first when I opened this up. I hadn't looked very closely at the picture, and saw the little dangling thing that looked like a zipper pull and the seam down the front, so it looked like it opened up to get feet in and out easily, but I found out differently upon delivery. No zipper, you have to shove your foot in and pull it all the way out. I had expected it to be a problem since usually that means the boots feel loose if it's easy enough to slide in, or if the boot still fits snugly, that means it's a real pain getting feet in and out.
This one is snug, but the foot goes in easily and comes out easily. Draw strings on top to help keep a lot of snow from falling in if you're outside playing in the white stuff, can snug it up on top of the foot if you need, and they are surprisingly comfortable. Feel very good and solid when walking around in them, and enough insulation to keep the feet from freezing.
So far, these are the best snow boots I've found in 25 years of adulthood...

Working in remote regions of Alaska for the last six years, these boots have served me well and I would gladly buy another pair if the first ever wears out. They've been put through test after test in temperatures below -40, in deep snow and slush, on gravel and even run over once and they are still waterproof and warm. They have excellent grip on glaze ice. The only time I even felt a little cold in them was after working outside in Barrow, Alaska when it was -35 and I was out for over four hours and although my toes were a bit chilly, my foot was safely warm and protected from frost bite. The fit is snug and the removable liner makes for easy cleaning and drying. Yes, I have to dry the liner from time to time when it is over +20 deg F because my feet get a little too warm and I sweat. Durable, sturdy, snug, warm, and dry.
