Comment: This book has already been loved by someone else. It MIGHT have some wear and tear on the edges, have some markings in it, or be an ex-library book. Over-all it's still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Cara and Louis Coless on October 9, 2012
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I have been coaching recreational soccer for several years and am now coaching my daughters U9 travel team. I had 2 other books, one is the Baffled Parents Guide to coaching Youth Soccer. This book is laid out even better than that one and would be a good choice for any new coach of boys or girls.
I particularly liked the chapters on how to teach the essential skills and the section on Game tactics. There is also a chapter on basic goalie skills as well as great drills/excercises.
Ifyou have moved to an 11 v 11 format this book is probably not for you.

This is a great guide for coaching soccer. Lot's of diagram's, photo's and instruction on drill's and games that your players can play in practice. Very easy to read and use in practices. This made a big difference in how I am able to coach.
