Grade 5 Up?A collection of cryptograms of proverbs from around the world, arranged by country of origin. Each group has 20 proverbs, all of which are interesting. Answers and a subject index conclude the book. Despite the quality of the proverbs chosen, the book is not successful. As it is the nature of proverbs to be pithy and brief, they are not the best choice for a cryptogram?their very brevity makes these puzzles very difficult to solve without a lot of guesswork, and may prove frustrating to young enthusiasts.
