1.0 out of 5 stars Way overpriced piece of plastic, September 3, 2007
This review is from: BagButton Vacuum Space Bag (Kitchen)
Shame on me for believing Larry Storey's review, above. From a quick search on Google, it seems he's one of the founders of the BagButton company.

I'm unsurprised his "purchase of the Bag Button has been a prime example of how an online purchase should be experienced." since this being the case, he could grab one off the shelf. I am surprised he would write such a review without mentioning the fact.

For anyone considering buying this, I suggest the following free, yet equally effective and quicker method:
Take one garbage bag, thickness not important and fill with your stuff. Twist the top closed a bit, though not enough to entirely prevent air escaping. Then kneel on the bag to get the air out. When satisfied, twist it some more then tie a knot in it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good concept. Results vary., April 25, 2007

DISenchanted (NM USA -Land of DISenchantment) - See all my reviews
This review is from: BagButton Vacuum Space Bag (Kitchen)
I found while looking for the original vacuum bags.

This concept seemed woekable, so I took a chance.

I bought several types of bags.

2mil, 3 mil.

Many that seemed very sturdy, were too thick to work with.

Others that seemed too thin, were the only ones than actually fit the bag button.

After a few days on the closet shelf, tied with tie wraps and/or tied AND twisted, or both, the vacuum seal was already going away.

At least the items inside would stay clean, despite losing their vacuum and expanding.

A+ for theory and A+ for creating a neat looking gizmo to fit the vacuum.

C thru a D+, for vacuum longevity; while stored.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money!!, June 29, 2009
This review is from: BagButton Vacuum Space Bag (Kitchen)
I purchased one of these last year, and what a MAJOR waste of my money! The very next day after using this "button" the "seal" had broken & the bags were full of air. Waste of my time & money!
