This is a cool product, saves a lot of time, fun and quick. It would be perfect if the section the holds the bagel could be adjusted, not all bagels are the same thickness, some of my bagels barely fit into the hold or it was difficult to cut the bagel perfectly in half--meaning 1/2 the bagel in a toaster oven is chrispy and the other lightly done. Overall, I'm pleased with this product.

I'm one of those people that should not be allowed to play with knives so the Bagel guillotine has become a kitchen must-have for me. Best part is it's easy to clean - top-rack dishwasher safe.

I bought 2 of these a number of months ago when we added Bagels to our offerings as Kick Butt Coffee in Austin Texas. Works great! The number one injury in coffee shops is in cutting things like bagels by hand. There is no way to accidentally cut yourself with the Bagel Guillotine. Oh Bagels are big and just barely fit but that is a good thing because they cut evening in half. The negative review here complain that it cuts unevenly with one half thicker than the other...this is likely because of cutting smaller bagels. It is also easy to clean. We can run under hot water between uses so it cleans up quickly.

This slicer is AWESOME!!! We use it weekly at the police department for our breakfast with the cops and it saves us a lot of hassle and time. They used to have an electric slicer and were leary of this one BUT we use it and love it! I have sold a few people on getting one for their homes too. What could be easier than insert bagel and slice! Just watch for those cinnamon sugar ones because the coating will scrape off in the slicer.

Works very well, but be sure bagels are not so fresh that the squeeze down to bottom of it without cutting the bagel.

I first saw this thing at my grandmother's house and was amazed how easily it sliced through larger size bagels. I decided to get one for my dad as a gift; He loves it. Maybe someday I will break down and get one for myself.

Fresh bagels are a staple in our home and the slicer keeps fingers safe while perfectly halving the bagels. We can slice through a dozen in no time at all. Easy to use and to keep clean.

It is a wonderful product. Saves cut fingers. Easy to use and easy to clean.

Slicer does not cut all the way thru the bagel on the first try. Bagel must be rotated 1/4 turn and cut again

This is a great product for anyone who loves bagels or just serves a lot of them. I purchased this recently when, I'll be honest, I got a pregnancy craving for bagels and decided I wanted one of these like I had when I was growing up... :)

It works great - very smooth operation. When choosing which one to buy I had read many reviews on various bagel cutters complaining about uneven cutting. This is true, but it only happens with bagels that are themselves a bit off-shaped. Overall I haven't felt this is a problem. I have been pleased with the product's performance. Following some advice I slice and then freeze my bagels to keep them fresh; I take one out when I pack my lunch in the morning and they are ready to toast by the time I have breakfast a few hours later. So, having this slicer is great since I cut all of the bagels at the same time.

The reason I cannot give it five stars is I can't help but wish there was a better design for cleaning. I feel like when it goes through the dishwasher (top rack only so it has to go in on a funny angle) it just can't get washed the way I would like. And forget hand-washing: I can barely get a towel inside the cutting piece to dry it, let alone wash it properly! But again, not a huge issue. I have just rinsed it off with hot water after going through the dishwasher to ensure there is no detergent residue or anything.
