Book Description

A lost suitcase leads to a heated kiss and a dangerous mission from which Rachel may not escape.

Montana native, Rachel Saunders, is looking forward to her all-expense paid weekend trip to New York. But, when her luggage is lost and she is accosted by an infuriating Homeland Security agent named Dawson Tate, events take a dangerous turn. Now, can she and Dawson must elude their enemies and prevent a terrorist attack before the bomb in their possession is detonated in the center of Manhattan--all while keeping their obvious attraction to one another in check? Find out in this Romantic Thriller.

*Please Note* -- While Baggage Claim is a clean romance and labeled 'Christian Romantic Suspense,' there is not a strong faith message in this first book. Instead, it forms the basis for a spiritual journey that spans the trilogy and, in turn, redefines the main character's relationship with God and definition of Christianity.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not really a Christian ficton March 15, 2013
    By DeeDee
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it was listed as a "Christian Romantic Suspense" as Amazon labels it. There was one instance at the end of the story that mentions that the character was a Christian.....but the story was very good and a fast pace adventure story(everything happens within 24 hours). One good thing about calling this Christian was that there wasn't any explicit sex language which it didn't need because the story was action packed.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Tru Exceptions book 1 April 25, 2014
    Format:Kindle Edition
This is the first book in the series and it really starts things off well. I must admit to not liking the cover for this book, I don't think that it accurately portrays the feel of this book. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This book moves so fast and the action never seems to stop! I couldn’t put it down and just kept turning pages all the way until the book ended. The characters are well thought out and I really enjoyed a tough, take-care-of yourself female lead. Still, it wasn’t too overdone and felt believable and genuine. The entire book is written from Rachel’s perspective, and while this book is complete and the story has a complete ending, it is certainly left open for the sequels. I didn’t feel like things were left hanging open, like with some book 1s. The story is clean and there is discussion about faith in God, though it is subtle. I give this book 5 stars! Great romantic action/suspense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and exciting December 23, 2011
    Format:Kindle Edition
I enjoyed Ms. Tru's writing style. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait for another one. She masterfully wove the story and I was hooked from the first chapter. I don't read fiction much anymore but I enjoyed this book thoroughly. Looking forward to the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally ridiculous, and I loved it July 18, 2014
    By Joyce
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read this one through in one sitting. Don't think the characters were too well developed, but the story started with enough action to keep you reading and escalated all the way to the end. I enjoyed it enough for the whole five stars, and there isn't anything embarrassing to worry a discriminating reader.

I really like this book! I couldn't pull myself away from it. I loved the way the author kept things moving, while keeping me on my toes, she still made me fall in love with Dawson and Rachel. I loved Dawson rules and the comebacks that Rachel had. Overall, a very good read.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Christian Suspense/Romance June 30, 2012
    By JMZ
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved reading the first book of the series Baggage Claim. I liked the fact that it was exciting, fast paced, unpredictable, and still had a little romance between Rachel and Dawson. It was well written. I enjoyed Amanda's style of writing, and her character development. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend it to everyone that wants to read a fun, action packed, clean story. At times I felt like I was watching 24! Check it out, you will be glad that you did.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cliched at best January 18, 2012
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The story of Dawson Tate and Rachel Saunders gets off to a fast start. It twists and turns its way through New York as the duo attempt to outwit a group of terrorists (who are never identified and their motives remain unclear even at the end of the novel.) The plot moves from one far fetched encounter to the next and the dialogue at times seems very contrived and cliched. There are some funny moments sprinkled throughout the story but, there are a lot of loose ends that remain by the end of the novel.
