I LOVE this bag, July 7, 2010
I purchased this from Amazon a few months ago, since I do a lot of traveling and hate hate HATE how crowded the planes have gotten, but man, I need my "stuff". I have gone through an embarrassment of handbags in the last two years. They either are the wrong size, fall apart or just don't handle all my "stuff"

Water bottle? Gotcha, not allowed through security! But if I am at the gate and want to buy food to take on, well THEN the water bottle fits beautifully in the outer compartment. And I can stuff my food into the bag easily.
My itinerary and boarding ticket? Check, nicely tucked into the back zippered compartment where it fits securely!
All my usual stuff like wallet, makeup, wipes, snack, pens etc? Check, all in their various compartments, or sometimes just thrown in cuz I didn't have time to organize, but due to the nice layout, I still find things quickly!
The bag fits well over the shoulder and under the arm so it is secure (I dislike bags hanging too low-they get caught on things or subject to pickpockets).
The fabric has held up well on my 5 trips so far. Looks nice enough for my main bag now. LOVE this bag!!!!!!
April 9, 2011: Ah, sadness. The one weak area of this bag is in the straps, where they attach to the bag. After my 10th trip, through airports and taxis and TSA's etc, one of the straps broke. AARRGGGGGHHHH. In fairness, I overloaded the sucker. After tugging it out from under the seat in front of me for the umpteenth time, I noticed a fatal tension tear right where the strap is sewn into the bag's seam attaching it to the purse. :-( so sad. Dear dear Baggallini, please work on your straps. I am going to find a seamstress to see if it can be fixed cuz I still love this bag.

Fabulous bag- highly practical, March 22, 2010
This bag is more than wonderful! It is so sturdy, well made and practical that I am in organizer's heaven. If you have a yen for keeping things ordered, buy this bag! They've spared no expense or intelligence in its design. Pockets everywhere, quality zippers, studs underneath it to protect the bottom and the hippest fabric that goes with everything. I'm totally impressed with it.

Great everyday briefcase, June 18, 2010
I have had this bag for a few weeks, and so far am very happy. I teach, and use it to carry papers and files, etc. to, from & around campus. I do not use it for a laptop, and the bag is really too small to hold a laptop in a protective sleeve.
This has a lot of features that make it great for everyday use. The side pockets are the perfect size for a small book or folded magazine/newspaper. I use one to carry a water bottle (the Camelbak BPA-Fee Better Bottle, 16 or 24 ounce, fits absolutely perfectly) so I don't have to worry about moisture getting on things inside the bag. The open interior pockets include pen slots and two that are a good size for a cell phone or PDA. Interior zippered pocket is great for personal items. I am less enthusiastic about the mesh pockets, which I believe were designed for a water bottle. I use one for a folding umbrella and the other just gets in the way. The key fob is nice and long, so you can unlock a door without detaching your keys. The top zips completely closed (great for going through airport security). And I LOVE that the bag has metal feet, as too often I need to set it down somewhere damp or dirty.
I got the pewter color, which is a nice break from black but still goes with everything. It's really a pencil-lead shade -- warm deep gray -- with a yellow lining. The lining makes it easy to find things in the bag.
Straps are long enough to slip over jacket sleeves but no so long that the bag drags on the ground when carried by hand (I am 5' 7").
Overall I am very pleased. The quality is great for the price (Amazon had the best price around), and I would buy other Baggalini bags in the future.
