Best bag for city living, January 31, 2010
This review is from: Baggallini Women's Courier Bagg (Apparel)
This bag is amazing. I ordered it from [...] about a year ago and have used it every day since then. It's roomy enough to fit a large hardback book, an oversized shawl, a mini umbrella, and various accessories, not to mention having TWO side compartments for a cell phone or iPod, TWO front zip pockets, and TWO open front pockets, as well as a ton of inner zippers and pockets. The bag is divided into two main sections, so you never have to worry about digging through it to find what you need because you've put everything into one cavernous space (I disagree with the other reviewer who said it's too big to be anything but a catchall--maybe that's true if you're just keeping lipsticks and pens in there). There's also a back pocket that zips on the top and bottom in case you want to put the bag over your luggage handle (be careful not to carry things in that compartment, though, because they could fall out). I live in Boston and don't have a car, and this bag has been the answer to my dreams. When running errands, I can usually fit one or two small shopping bags in here, on top of the usual amount of stuff I carry everywhere. Not only that, but it's durable yet extremely lightweight and has a thick, adjustable shoulder strap, so it's very easy to carry around and you can fit it over your shoulder or across your chest. This bag is by far the best city carryall I've ever found, and I'm sad that it's going out of stock. I have no idea why they would discontinue this bag. I have the khaki version, and I just bought the espresso version while I could find it--they don't have it at ebags anymore, and the only places that are still carrying it are Amazon and [...]. I highly recommend this bag if you live in the city. It might be a good diaper bag, too, but I haven't tested that theory. I could also see it being a great gym bag. The only downside is that it's expensive--this is by far the most I've ever spent on a bag--but it's worth every penny. Get it while you can. PS: I used this bag on vacation recently and stuffed it to the gills as a carry-on. I was able to fit a smaller bag, two shirts, the oversized shawl, leggings, camera and phone chargers, a glasses case, my iPod and cell phone, my plastic baggie of airline-safe liquids, and two books in this bag. I do agree with the other reviewer who said that they wished they could manually close the bag when it's full, but I didn't have a huge problem with that, because I just kept the bag upright. I WAS still able to shut the bag, just not securely. (This might actually be the reason that I was able to fill the bag with so much stuff--I didn't have to worry about fastening the front of the bag to a certain spot.) Overall, this was a very minor frustration for me, and for my purposes--walking around the city all day and needing a bag that is well organized and lightweight, allows me to get essential items out of it quickly, and will fit a lot of personal items as well as errand items--I can't ask for anything better.

great travel bag, August 17, 2009
I purchased this bag for our trip to washington dc. it was roomy enough to hold all the pamphlets, and the other necessities of the day. the ony problem was that the museums searched all bags upon entering, and since there are alot of pockets on this bag, it took awhile. i will use it on flights, for my camera and binoculars when hiking, and at home to store my laptop in.

Briefcase for Fun, November 4, 2009
This is a great bag, especially if you can get it in some bright colors (the tomato/mango scheme is particularly fun!). It is definitely well made and tough, and I love the magnetic closures (that really stay shut!) and the two small side pockets that are perfect for a cell phone and keys, etc. The back is great too because it unzips to allow you to slip it over a luggage handle and carry it that way when traveling. That said, I MIGHT dash off to work with my laptop in it, but only if I was able to be a little delicate about it...there is no real padding and of the two interior pockets, one is flat (lovely for keeping papers straight and in order) and the other main one is just too large to serve as anything other than a catch-all. I would have loved it to have a few more arranged compartments in there to keep it more business-like, and a little less casual on the inside. In all, I think it is limited if you want to use it for work, and a bit too much for a regular purse, but still nicely crafted. Worth it on sale perhaps?
