5.0 out of 5 stars The little luggage that could
I was looking for an overnight bag. I do a lot of speaking gigs: fly out, stay overnight, speak, fly home. We have a great collection of luggage, but nothing small enough to meet this need. The Daytripper reviews worried me a bit, because people commented on how surprisingly small the thing is. Yet the same reviews seemed to love it, so I ordered. When it arrived by UPS,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad rollers
Product came before expected which was great. However I was very disappointed when I used it as the rollers would not roll very well at all. The rollers were not placed equally and trying to pull the bag through the airport was awful as it continually twisting causing the bag would turn on it's side.
Very disappointed as bagallini has a good reputation. The...

5.0 out of 5 stars The little luggage that could, June 1, 2010

I was looking for an overnight bag. I do a lot of speaking gigs: fly out, stay overnight, speak, fly home. We have a great collection of luggage, but nothing small enough to meet this need. The Daytripper reviews worried me a bit, because people commented on how surprisingly small the thing is. Yet the same reviews seemed to love it, so I ordered. When it arrived by UPS, I couldn't believe my eyes. The box it came in seemed tiny and weighed nothing. Had I made a mistake? Well, not at all, as it turns out. The Daytripper is perfect: it has a padded laptop slot that doubles nicely as a clothes press, it has a detachable clear plastic bag for liquids and gels, it has ample room for shirts, trousers, my kit, the rest. I have used the Daytripper now on a dozen trips, and I've come to rely on it. I have one small complaint: the two little pockets in front have magnetic closings, not real buckles. I don't trust anything valuable to them, because they're too easy to accidently open. Baggallini designers, are you listening?

I've only taken this on one trip but it worked very well for me. Was very easy to navigate on the plane and to put in the overhead bin. At check-in they wanted me to unhook the plastic pouch with liquids, etc. which I didn't understand why. I was also happy to have a rolling bag that has a place for the computer. Great bag!

4.0 out of 5 stars Only 1.1 gripe!, December 9, 2010

This item is almost perfect. One drawback: the pockets on the front have magnetic snap closures, and I hesitate to use them for fear they might catch on something and pop open. A zipper-closed single compartment would be better. And- just a tad larger in size- my 17-inch MacBook Pro Fits very tightly. Another 1/2 inch and I could protect it better with my padded sleeve.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daytripper Bag, October 22, 2010

The Daytripper is the easiest bag to take along. I recently took a trip and wheeled that bag all over even on the airplane. It has many compartments and plenty of space. It has convenient handles to use when not wheeling it.

I needed a bag that was roomy, but truly small enough to fit under the seat in front of me on a plane. This fits the bill perfectly and it's still light enough that I'm able to lift it into the overhead when seated in at the bulkhead. The detachable clear quart bag for liquids was an unexpected plus. Several trips planned and it will make a great long weekend case. Plus it's Baggallini - quality construction in my favorite tomato red.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bag!, November 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It's a great bag, and well made. My only complaint is the magnetic latches on the outer pockets. They may look like buckles from the photos, but they aren't. And they can be difficult to latch at times, if I don't get them to "lay" correctly. If not for that, I would have given it five stars.

Very disappointed as bagallini has a good reputation. The company that sent the product were very good, just bad product.
