5.0 out of 5 stars Baggallini uptown bag is indispensable for travel
We're in Europe for almost four months. I bought a Baggallini uptown bag just before we left and it's been wonderful. I've done a lot of traveling and this is the best. It's light, opens easily, has a place for a cell phone, secure (buckled and zippered) place for passports and larger bills, a pocketbook secured to an immovable strap, with a zipper and place for credit...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good
Bagallini bags are awesome. But count me as NOT a fan of assymetrical bags that hang from your left shoulder. My bag goes over my right shoulder. They are not reversible.

We're in Europe for almost four months. I bought a Baggallini uptown bag just before we left and it's been wonderful. I've done a lot of traveling and this is the best. It's light, opens easily, has a place for a cell phone, secure (buckled and zippered) place for passports and larger bills, a pocketbook secured to an immovable strap, with a zipper and place for credit cards and another strap to clip on keys. Everything is so easy to find and very secure. I'm never fishing around for something in my purse and I'm not worried about someone slipping a hand in and making off with my pocketbook (that has happened to me before). It has a long strap and I often slip it over my head when carrying groceries, books, etc. Someone with a real travel brain came up with this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific bag, April 20, 2008

After using the Baggellini Uptown bag, I could never go back to a one-compartment pocketbook. I was able to take everything from my bulky, impossible-to-find-anything bag and fit it into this slim, light bag, yet I'm able find what I need without even looking. I love the casual-funky look of it too. Excellent quality.

Having used most of my life a purse with a filing system that allowed everything you needed to be lost somewhere in the bottom of it, the Uptown purse offered a solution to organization. It does, but it took me the better part of a week to get it in order and to find those things I had so carefully compartmentalized! There are slots for credit cards, etc., but I found that they were so slippery that the cards did not stay (to my comfort) in them. The easy solution was a small case clipped to the extra tether included in which to put the ones most often used. Aside from that, I am very happy with the item and use it daily.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love this bag, March 24, 2009
This review is from: Baggallini Uptown Bagg (Apparel)
I'm always looking for the ultimate bag. It has to keep me organized. It has to have a lot of compartments that make sense. It has to be durable. It has to be big enough to hold a lot of stuff, but not too big that it's just too heavy and bulky to drag around everyday. And it has to have a good selection of colors.

This bag is it. I can carry everything I really need and find it quickly and easily. It's not too heavy, even when it's stuffed. The outside cell phone pocket is so handy. I love the color - leaf green for me. The crossbody style is so much easier on my back and shoulder than a traditional purse. It's great for shopping because I can use both hands.

The only thing I don't like are the pockets for credit cards. They're not positioned very well so it's hard to quickly grab the right card. Eventually they all fell out of the pockets and into the compartment.

Otherwise, this bag is great and does everything I need it to do. I've tried so may others, and this is the closest I've found to perfect.

I have one of the baggallini uptown bags and my Mom liked it so much, she asked me to get one for her for the holidays. The best part of the bag is the cell phone pocket. Great for everyday use, lots of pockets, stays clean, lots of room, easy to wear across body. Also great for travel. Have gotten lots of compliments on it as well. I received the bag within a few days of ordering and was the best price locally and online by far. Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best iPad bag yet, February 17, 2011

My wife was given this bag to use as a purse but never got into it. She wanted something snazzier.

Seeing it languishing on the shelf bothered me. I am an Apple nut and own an iPad. iPad cases abound but all have shortcomings, most notably the inability to carry much else other than the iPad. I decided to see if it was big enough to fit the iPad. Sure enough it does. I have my iPad in a leather flip case that protects it but that's all. If I slip it into the Bagallini it fits great and provides me with the extra pockets and such to carry the extra paraphernalia I need like a charger, bluetooth keyboard, cellphone, camera kit, cables....

I can carry it very securely over my left shoulder with the bag under my arm. Just about as functional and masculine a "manpurse" as you will find.

They should advertise it as an iPad case... can't be beat!!

This is one of the most comfortable bags/purses to carry. The compartments are well placed and the fabric can take a lot of abuse. I owned one in olive and purchased the same one in black. It did not disappoint. Two friends have purchased this bag since seeing mine. Can't recommend it enough!

The color and style are great. Love the bright color inside. It looks good, people admire it, and it's very versatile. But it somehow doesn't quite provide what I need in the way I thought it would. I've ended up using all the parts differently then intended. Like I have a lipstick in the phone pouch, and an appointment book in the front pouch. It does work to put all receipts in the back zippered area, though. The only actual complaint is that the zipper goes all the way down the side, and it's curved, and that makes it impossible to zip it closed with one hand. I often have to stop, put it down on something and zip that zipper up. I'm thinking of stitching a "stop" near the handle attachment.

I bought this bag for my daughter and she loves it. Has plenty of room for even an extra diaper for her son.
